Just curious about peoples views on the best gaming boxset. I have just got the Arc the Lad Collection for the Playstation and i must say that it is beautifully presented. I have also been impressed with the Metal Solid Gear Set with figure (although it was a put together figure), and the Biohazard Suitcase Set.

In terms of consoles, then i would have to go for the STAR's Biohazard Dreamcast Set. Great but just a tad expensive!

The obvious comment i have to make is that it is scary even to open the bloddy things!

Any comments?..... and pics would be good to! :D

I've always preferred the Claire Dreamcast, it looks so much better and less rarer.

The SegaGaGa boxset , it has 6 enamel pins with all the old sega system logo's on, a sega t-shirt, the game in the dvd case, a SegaGaGa leather diary, and a pen. Awesome stuff.

The biohazard briefcase (forgot what exactly is in there) looks fabulous, but I have never seen it so I can't comment too much on it.

I have the Metal Gear Solid Boxset for PS1, that's pretty nice! Not the best by any means but I thought the extras are well thought out.

The Biohazard briefcase set or the Metal Gear Solid Premium Pack for PSX.

There have been some really large Final Fantasy box sets but I have no idea what's in them.

There's also a cool Choro Q and Guilty Gear X box set out there.

I have a few box sets... for least impressive to most:

Ogre Battle Zenobia no Ougi (Prince of Zenobia)- comes with just a clear blue slimline NGPC and the game inside a very nice looking box. But no other plus alphas...

Nakoruru for Dreamcast
comes with a mini Nakoruru doll.

Samurai Spirits! NGP
I like the compactness of this boxset, and the box art is very nice for a samurai spirits game. It comes with a stupid cell phone wrist strap which I guess is supposed to be used on the NGPC, but honestly, those wrist straps are stupid. However, the strap is cool if you look at it from the right angle, you can see SD images of each character...

Elemental Gearbolt Assassin kit
comes with a golden guncon, red mem card, in a brushed aluminum suit case, along with a sealed copy of Elemental Gearbolt and a letter from Working Designs congratulating you on your skills in obtaining the set.

I remember neo-jorge had that Biohazard briefcase up for sale, it came packed with some pretty slick extras, probably the best looking video game set I've ever seen.

The only boxset I have is the NGP Samurai Spirits one, nothing special about it aside from a cool looking box, the game rocks though.

the Sakura Wars Set is the only true Gaming BOX SET(as in complation of titles not goodies). I also think there a Love Hina one.
Both are for (DUH) Dreamcast.

'Elemental Gearbolt Assassin Kit'

I like the sound of that Evil, not heard of the game though, any good?

I would like to see the picture again of the Biohazard Briefcase, i wonder if he ever sold it cos if i remeber he was asking $400 for it.

The Sakura Set does look good but it look more like a compilation.

Anymore people can think of??

What are people views on the Panzer Orta XBox?

Just remember one, the Donkey Kong N64 Console Boxset released in the US. Very coulour co-ordinated and definately a future investment? Don't be surprised to see boxed examples for $200+ in the future.

The assassin kit was extremely limited quantity. I mean like really really limited. Not like some cheap shit stars dreamcast that's just a shell. They had a fucking briefcase with a golden guncon...

I have a few BOXED sets that are quite nice :

Sonic 2 Birthday pack from Japan :
I reccomend everyone get it its going for like 10 bux on ebay right now ! comes with a trifold display with a gold sonic 10th anniversary coin a sonic soundrack cd and a history of sonic booklet .

Gungrave BOXED special edition :
comes with a small figure of "GRAVE" in a nice windowed glossy box .
a friend of mine actually picked it up for me personally when he went to japan .

U.S. Shenmue :
Japanese release of Shenmue in ENGLISH I have yet to open it but the box is really purdy .

I also used to have a special edition of Advanced V.G. for Saturn it came in a tremendous box and it included a 150 piece puzzle .

I'd vote for the Metal Gear Solid Gold Box Set that had all of the Silver Boxed stuff (dogtags, artbook, T-Shirt, cards, soundtrack to MG1/MG2) BUT it also had a field strippable SOCOM pistol w. unscrewable suppressor model gun. I wanted one but when I asked NCS about it, they were only able to get 2 I believe since it was only given out at some event. That in my mind would classify as the best box set ever.

Xbox panzer dragoon special boxset is quite cool ( that's the first time I say that for a Xbox stuff ) but it's extremely rare to.

You will have to send me a pic of that one Evil. I like the sound of it. :D

I agree about the Sonic 10th Birthday Set. Small, not a great deal to it, but at $10 who can complain! Possibly the best bargain set you can get.

This is not a boxset but i am impressed with Panasonics alternate Gamecube. Almost looks like a shiny stereo although it would have been better if they had made it so it would play PAL games as well. Not that most of you NTSC user guys would give a shite.

Sakura Taisen Set DC is a very sweet set and well packaged. Guilty Gear X Plus LE PS2 was also well packaged as well not only with the DVD of the five minute anime but there was a limited figure as well.

Yeah the Metal Gear Solid Gold Box set had hella stuff. It probably is the best box set that I've seen but not own it.
