Just wondering who in here liked which version of Steven Segal's action flicks. I like his more controversial stuff from Above The Law on down to The Patriot... But his two latest flicks Exit Wounds and Half Past Dead, just are too far off the mark for me. So which version of Segal do you like best?

Slim Segal w. Controversy

or...

Husky Segal without Controversy/Hip Hop fluff?

Just curious is all.

Slim Seagal for sure. Under Seige was my fav Seagal movie. I think it was also the last good one he made before he started to get too paunchy and started making all of those bizarre hip hop movies.

definitly the old movies when he was still somewhat humble and not such a damn weirdo.

Not that that matters much , I just dont care much for politically based garbage like that lame oil rig movie he made , whatever it was called ? Or the one where he was an EPA Narc , dont remember the name of that one either.

As for Van Damme , what a loser that guy turned into , some of the worst movies ever made to boot.

What happened to the good old days when Chuck Norris made decent Karate movies that were actually worth watching ?
The only Martial artist in the main stream worth watching these days is probably Jet Lei ?

I was never much into Jackie Chan movies , just too corny for my tastes , but man can he do some incredible stunts or what ! I love the out takes from his movies where they show him not making the stunt.

I love all steven seagal movies. I rate exit wounds just as high as out for justice. As long as it's entertaining, his packing his bagfull of shotgun deaths and kick-ass judo, then that'll do fo me. Also, much respect to him for letting him be killed off 30 minutes into executive decision, how many other action stars would have agreed to do that?

My favorite Segal movie is Exit Wounds. That was one of the tightest movie he has done because DMX, Tom Arnold and Anthony (dont know last name) was in it and he martial arts was better.

I haven't seen Exit Wounds, but I did like his old movies... The previews on his recent movies seem to be really bad. I think he is too one-dimensional these days!

Out For Justice is probably my fave because it's so stupidly violent :)

Under Seige was good, I liked the Glimmer Man but haven't really seen any of his recent stuff... he needs to lose weight and quit with all the self righteous bullshit he tries to put in his films (On Deadly Ground? )

Van Damme hasn't made even a half decent movie since Maximum Risk. Shame really... Hard Target is an awesome film especially if you can get a hold of the uncut version.

I think Segal uses Aikido, not Kung-Fu... ;)

EDIT : Because I'm so dumb that I can't spell the guy's name... :(

Never liked Steven Seagal's movies simply because he never got hit.

Point is, he never gave me the impression that he was in any sort of trouble, trying to overcome an obstacle like any good hero flick should do.

Van Damme might be shit now, but at least he got his ass handed to him every time before he gave out the beatings. Cyborg is a great example.

My fave Segal flick is *Hard to Kill*, I just liked the concept of a guy coming out of a coma to avenge something that happend almost a decade before.

Sagat was pretty cool I guess. Wasn't he in that TV show where he played the gay father and his two guy friends lived in the house one was the chubby comedian the other the Elvis fan and the Olsen twins were his daughters or something. Is he fat now? So that was the old and funniest home videos is the new? Well he's pretty hilarious in funniest home videos but I agree with most people here the old Sagat was way better (especially if he's fat now).

Segal is an asshole. His movies all sucked, except for the recently released...umm, fuck what's it called? With DMX? I forget...

everyone watched siegal from nico up till under siege. In those days I caught all his movies quick time. But its weird up until 2-3 weeks ago, on deadly ground was the last seagul film I had seen. I caught Glimmer man and fire down below, and I think yeah they were okay movies, watchable but not a patch on Nico or Hard to kill.

Van damme was great in bloodsport and Breakdance! But its true Hard target was teh pinnacle of his career. Such a awesome plot, and the ridiculous violence and stupid names!!! ahahah.

I'm with Ray on this one. Steven Seagal is a weak-ass sorry excuse for an action hero. If I want cheese, I'll go the whole nine and watch some 80's Arnold flicks. Steven Seagal will never be in anything as good as The Running Man. Let alone the Terminator films (of which there are TWO. No more. Got it fucker?)

I don't get Seagal's new attempts to appeal to the mall-lounging FUBU crowd either. Ice-T owns DMX on screen....for FREE!!! <img src="graemlins/makeface.gif" border="0" alt="[Make Face]" /> <img src="graemlins/loco.gif" border="0" alt="[Loco]" /> <img src="graemlins/tickled.gif" border="0" alt="[Tickled]" />
