QUICK! Can USPS money orders be cashed at the POffice?

Uh, well, duh. They're issued by the United States Postal Service. That's like the bank not taking checks....

The last time I tried to cash a money order at the Post Office here in town they wouldn't cash it.(it's small)
They told me that I had to go to a larger Post Office many miles away.
I had no arguement for them because they said they never cashed money orders at their location.
This was years ago and I don't use Post Office Money orders ever.
The people that work at my local post office are nasty and get complaints all the time.
Maybe I never used a PO money order before.
People ask questions for their own reasons and don't look for Stupid answers as replies.

We could be 14-15 yrs old with no checking account and have never had to send a Postal Money order.
Banks are a pain in the ass too..

No shit, Jigen. I live in a town called Mangum in Oklahoma. We only have 1 traffic light that just blinks red. Our post office cashes my Postal money orders.. I thought this was a joke post so I just overlooked it.. wtf kind of PO doesn't cash PO MOs?!

Indeed. The only problem I've ever encountered was having 5 Postal MOs that added up to $2,000, and they had to go to the bank to get my money.
Chris1, I think you have your situation mixed up with something else, because it clearly states on the usps site that you can purchase these at any PO in America. It only makes sense that you could cash them at any PO too. I frequent the PO, so next time I'm there I will ask if there's some sort of rare PO that doesn't cash MOs.

No this was years ago..Small PO location that just had assholes working there.
No longer there.
I haven't used a PO Money order in years.
That place just turned me off so bad that I never thought about using or getting PO money orders again.
I was thinking about how bad the people working there were treating people that when I read the post I got angry.
