Out of Game Pro, Extended Play (on Tech TV) EGM, IGN (who I know some of you hate even though it's obivious they play what they review extensivly) and Gamespot who's reviews do you respect the most?

I'm going to be e-mailing a few of these people to prove a point (the one I've been trying to make about The DOA Series) and if you don't respect them you probably won't listen.

I don't know about any of that, but for magazine's I pick Game Informer as my #1 "Gaming" Mag, and PLAY as my #1 "Gaming/Distinguished Global Citizen" Mag.

EGM, Xbox Nation, Gamepro.

IGN is fucking worthless. So is Gamespot. All of the internet gaming sites have sucked ass lately.

Xbox Magazine (The one with the Demo disc every month, I think it may even be The Official Xbox Magazine")

They are one of the few magazines (I get Gamepro and EGM as well) that I read that will slam their own systems stuff. They also give honest opinions when things are risky (and have even said bad agains the big M$) or flat out stupid. They also have the jap guy every month that updates the US about the state of Xbox in japan, and they don't try to hid how bad it is over there. Also they have given honest props to the origonals (Like the contraversy about when I think it was game pro that put out the article about the "Online Console Gaming" revolution and never mentioned Dreamcast). When they previewed CvS2 they mentioned that some of the SNK characters were "capcomized" and then even mentioned SvC coming out.

Honestly the only thing that I read any of the other mags for a screen shots and previews/roumers.

Dude I hate Tech Tv so why would i want to listen to anything this Adam says if he's from their bords?? And if you have give IGN 5 bucks they'll give your game a perfect squecky clean review, why are you going to two piece of shit sites to make me believe DoA is as deep as Tekken and Virtua Fighter.

Doa is like the music of today, all flash and no substance

I never really think much about this...

Who's word I take more seriously? I don't really have a bias towards any one mag or internet site. I usually read them all and then make up my mind as to whether a game is good or not.

For instance, the recent reviews of DOAX have been mixed. www.videogames.com gave DOAX a 6 out of 10; while www.ign.com gave DOAX a 9.2 out of 10.

I dunno if www.ign.com had a bias when reviewing DOAX or not...but I certainly would take both reviews into account before making up my mind about purchasing.

You have to really think for yourself. Don't rely on stupid video game magazines to rate games for you. If you like it, play it. If you don't like it, don't play it.

Its really that simple.

Actually I know what I want my reason for writing these people is to help explain why DOA should get a little respect it's the Rodney Dangerfeild of Fighters
