Alpha 2 Gold, no holds bar...adding cammy was a nice touch...but Alpha 2 was well balanced, SFA3 just went crazy like SF3 with adding a ton of no-namer characters that didnt gain fame well. To me, Alpha 2 felt like a true SF2 successor, having almost the 8 warriors back (Except E Honda, Vega, and Balrog) At least Alpha 2 did a lovely job introducing us to Dhalsim in a whole new way and Sakura was a great edition (if you like her or lust over her underageness...you know who you are...we know were you live..) I felt that Zangief and Dhalsim got the respect they deserved after being under casted all those years. Why else did they choose those two again to lead the MARVEL Vs. CAPCOM series? from X Vs. SF to MVC2. Furthermore, I really think capcom rushed Alpha 3, no real major upgrades to the cast (a few supers here and there) a choice of different "ISM's" to offer more replay value. Yet the entire game felt like "Let's throw in everything" and kinda gave off a "MK Trilogy" appeal...if you have ever character in the game...what do you have to look forward to? I think that's why Alpha 2 stands solid..every character had his/her own uniqueness, Alpha 3 felt like attack of the ryu-clones..Shin Akuma...Akuma...Ryu..Ken..Sakura...Evil Ryu..Dan...yeah it's wearing thin a little...So in conclusion, I just like to say Alpha 2 was the SF series prime height..afterwards, it was a slow decline...Alpha 3 I like, SF3 I love..but from the people's point of view..they stink, why? I have no clue, I never saw any flaws with them. Only positive thing I have to say about Alpha 3..it went out with a bang..and what makes me laugh..how in the hell can Yung be in SFA3 (GBA verison)...yet he wasnt born yet...since Alpha is supposed to be BEFORE SF2..but the storyline drifted off so so far.
