"Ditto"

I'm looking for one as well... any good hosts? Preferably without pop-ups.

The site the boards are hosted on is a good provider, click the link at the bottom, I almost got a plan with them but changed my mind because I didn't have the comitment for a website

Honestly?

If you don't want to pay, don't even try. That's the best advice I can give you.

Those suck so bad it's not even funny. I could recommend www.brinkster.com they are excellent although you get low bandwidth. They are never down very good uptime. But if you want to look around more go here www.freewebspace.net it is the best place to visit if your starting out. You should at least start with free hosting first before you even try to go paid. You might not like it and why waste money right? If you need anymore questions answered just post here, I'll be more then glad to help you out.

well depending on who you're isp is , you may already have some space available. I'm currently with roadrunner so I've got 10MB's to use.

Check this out http://www31.brinkster.com/hippee/

Isn't it Awesome?
The only bad thing is that I don't know anything about how to edit/mess with it... But I'll learn... Maybe...

Thanks guys!

10MB - It's enough to get you started.

If you're going to have a site it really is better to just pay for it. $20 a month I get 750mb of space and 40gb transfer with www.liquidweb.net.

i use my isp's space (comcast) its 25mb and theres no bandwith limit i know of, and its really fast and has ftp uploading.

plus my friends that also run my site have comcast comcast, so thats like 100mb of space.

i used to host it off my pc. i used IIS with windows2000 advanced server, but it wasnt that fast and i dont really need 40gb of space right now. (its so much easier to use tho i mean i can do asp and cgi and ppp and shit)
