Steven Seagal chasing the bad guys in Out For Justice - doing 50mph over speed jumps with 'no sleep till brooklyn' playing was too cool.

Nicolas Cage chasing Sean Connery in the Rock - 'dude you just fucked up your ferrari!!!'

The Motorbike chase scene in Terminator 2, arnie is just plain bad-ass.

Best movie car chase? There was one in that movie Action Jackson(Carl Weathers) that kicked ass. Haven't seen it in a few years, but I remember him running side by side with whomever he was chasing (who was in a car) for a pretty lengthy amount of time.

However....

Any resident of Southern CA knows to tune into the local news at least 3x a week for a kick ass high speed chase. I'm sorry, but fiction doesn't beat reality.

The only chase sequence that has really stood out from the rest, for me, is the Light Cycle scene in TRON.
Yes I know its not a 'real' chase scene, but its the only one that is totally different from all the rest. Every action film nowardays has a chase scene and for me, they just all blur into one and I can barely seperate the Bond films from The Dukes of Hazzard or The French Connection - but TRON's Light Cycle scene is unmistakable (and it's damn fast and looks cool too).

Do Hovercrafts count? The "Rumble in the Bronx" hovercraft-car chase is one that sticks particularly in my mind.

Hmm... Tron... How 'bout the chase scenes in Automan. Nothing like seeing a car/helicopter doing 90 degree turns.

Oh, and what about the ol' Flash series' pilot? The scene where he chases the motorcycles down. Hmm... Maybe not technically a car-chase at all...

Thats not the only awesome car chase What about when the police are chasing them after the 1st gun fight (at the bridge). That audi S8 is AWESOME... sweet how they drive that machine too.

i'm still debating over blues brothers and Ronin.

I like Ronin a lil more , cuz the sound of euro engines. They seem to purr a lil differently than the US vehicles. I've just heard too many growling mucscle cars in my time.
