Hmmm...perfect...
Some of the ones I might have picked have been already chosen such NIN - The Downward Spiral and The Prodigy - Music for the Jilted Generation, I can think of a couple others I truly consider masterpieces.
Rush - Moving Pictures
7 tracks of pure bliss. From the timeless classic that Tom Sawyer is to the "Makes you want to hit the road and just drive" nature of Red Barchetta, through YYZ, Limelight and several others till the end, this Album is the highlight of Rushs discography. 100% classic.
NIN - broken
Due to the angrier nature of this album compared to Pretty Hate Machine, this album turned a lot of the fans of the first album off. But once you dig into this album and listen to it, analysis it, and just absorb it, you will then truly see the masterpiece that Trent Reznor created. This also set the grounds for Trent to move away from the heavy usage of Synths that were in Pretty Hate Machine to mix with guitars and eventually organic sounds. Lots of deep layered materials on this album (but not nearly as much as The Downward Spiral) that make for an enjoyalble listening experience.
Eric Clapton - Unplugged
Owning both the CD and the DVD for this performance, I can say without a doubt it is in incredible work from Eric Clapton. I have literally listened to this album on repeat for hours at a time and enjoyed every track, over and over again. Highly recommended.
Sting - The Very Best of....Sting and The Police
Fans of Sting and/or The Police will find tons of great music on this compilation CD. Make sure to get the reissued one from 2002 as it has, I believe 18 tracks, and they dropped that ignorant ass Puff Daddy remix of Roxanne. Although this album is missing a couple of really great tracks from Sting and The Police, what is on it is terrific.
Pearl Jam - Ten
Although this was mentioned before, I really fill this was easily one of the best albums of the entire "Grunge rock" phase that hit in the early 90's. This was another album that was easy to listen to over and over and never really tire of it. It was also the last album of theirs that I personally really liked, although I enjoyed a couple tracks from Vs.
These are some of the albums that, in my mind, are damn near perfect.
