When Metroid Prime is released in March you can bet it won't even reach a the top 20.

People have lost the plot. LOL. The UK games industry is a joke.

The same thing can be said for France boyz!

It would help if the Uk publishers got their fucking act together and stopped delaying game by half a year. Look at Dead to Rights, i bought that on import last July and it's still not out here. Americans got Metroid and RE0 last november, not till march here, UK games market sucks because ther are no games worth picking up!!!!! i've recently imported PDO, HOTD3, TJ&E3 and MK: DA because i can't be arsed to wait half a year longer for them.

I swear if you gave a kid a PS2 with GTA he'd be happy for the next year until the next GTA came out. It seems like the only games our retarded nation likes to buy are shit like Gta and The Getaway

17.5% VAT on all non-essential goods so it has a knockdown effect on the 2nd hand market frown

Its a real joke that we have to pay more for games than other countries. Especially when we get shit 50hz with black borders conversions. As well as having to wait months after they have been released in Japan and the US.

Couldn’t agree more Plisken. The UK is shit for gaming,waiting months to get the best games from the US or Japan. Its seems all the UK is bothered about is vice city or the getaway. It’s a shame I have to import to play the latest games eg metroid prime,Zelda and my fav at the moment Ikaruga. I love to play animal crossing but looks like I will have to import again. Is it getting a uk release?

There are quite a few decent games out there, but even if you include imports there aren't bucket fulls of games worth of owning.

There's nothing about on the GCN at the moment until RE0 arrives in March, oh and Metroid.

Nothing on PS2 until Contra arrives.

Xbox - who cares.

GBA - nothing at all. I don't see the point in bringing out the SP over here. There is a real dearth of quality GBA games here. All the goodstuff at the moment is Jap only (so you have to pay wank import prices) frown

Because everyone but Tarma thinks it's crap.

It's an okay game, I just hate the controls, and found it didn't have a lot of direction. I'm sure it will sell well in the states, judging from people that play the demo unit at the store I work at, the novelty of people yelling at you with various british accents is a good enough reason to buy anything.

David, I would like to say the games market over here is different, but well, the only way it is any different is that we get some releases before you. People still lap up shit games because they are well marketed. We pre-sold over 60 copies of The Getaway, despite me telling people it wasn't very good. Compare that to the two reserves on PDO (with a total of 4 copies sold the first day) and the two preorders were employees. frown

7th of feb. OPSM2 mag gave it 8/10. Of couse thats just one score from the 'official' mag, but there was also a demo and it seemed pretty dammed good from what I played.
