I had a big meeting to go to at my main office today, and I found out that I could either take a lesser job which is farther away for less money, or I could quit. Sucks, but I get a VERY good serverence package for leaving. I get two weeks of pay as if I were working, and then another two months worth on one check after that. No, I hate having to get another job, but maybe it ain't so bad after all... annoyed

At least I say that because I never found my calling, and I figure many other people haven't also... I know that when I quit I'll be that much closer to finding my true love in life. And every paycheck til then is procrastination.

Sorry to hear that Spike :(. Man, you've some bad luck sometimes :(. But don't worry, things are bound to turn around. And when they do... I'm definitely upgrading my shit job too.

Sorry to read this!! Hang in there buddy, you will find something to do while collecting unemployment...


I got laid off back in 2001, but that was a blessing in disguise. The company (and it was the largest tech company in San Diego) went down in flames (and still burning) in August this year. Heh.

God, I'd be scared in my tracks if I got the sack - the older you get, the lesser the chance you have of getting another job.

It's better to quit your job after winning an interview to a higher paying job - you have a better chance of being chosen if you are already employed.

Well, good luck on finding a new job!

BTW Spike, what's your occupation?

EDIT: But it COULD be worse. They could have said "and don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out", but instead I get a crap load of money as they gave me the boot. I can pay off a few credit cards, which is nice. Should be back on my feet very soon. :) I hope. annoyed
