CVS2 Online Report---->B+

Ok everyone I got my copy at 9am sharp from Fed-Ex. Proceeded to skip practicing & dove right into online play!!!

I played 5 matches w/some guy from Toronto, Ca. (i think his name was BEER GUT) THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO LAG!!! He proceeded to kick my ass because of having to use that damn S controller. But, the gameplay was FLAWLESS & the voice comm. worked just fine

!!

Also checked the rankings. There are a little over 500 people at the moment. SURPRISINLGY, only about 15 are USA. That's right, the other 480 players are all Japanesse!! (sorry, didn't play any of them)

Well, now I tweaked my S controller & will hope to find BEER GUT to exact a little revenge. Word to the wise:If you are using the S controller at the moment, skip trying to use the HORRID d-pad. THe LEFT ANALOG stick works 100x better. & if you're use to using a joystick, you will adapt to the left analog stick w/no problem!!

Well, that's it for now. I know, not too much info, but I want PLAY the game not just type about it.

I'll stick with the PS2 and DC versions. Don't really need to play anyone online in a fighting game. I prefer actually being able to fight someone in person and talk shit right to there face. buttrock

When someone makes a post about a great X-Box game, there is ZERO necessity to point out anything relating ot the Gamecube or PS2, much less the owners of said systems.

Well, the servers haven't even been warmed up yet. I estimate that the 500 people will turn into 5000 by the end of the night. And yes, I really think there will be about 5000 people w/this game by the end of the night if not more.

You do get to choose between playing Domestic & International. So, for your 1st few games I HIGHLY suggest staying home on the Domestic servers, before being SERVED on the Jap. ones, lol.

Saturn Gamer IS my gamertag. This site should do like shoryuken.com & just add your gamertag next to your forum name.

I'm tempted now to get the live kit and this game....very tempted.

Though, I am not a big fan of CVS2...its boring...even when Im playing friends.

Anyway my Gamertag is Falcon 12 (I know it sounds goofy, but it was my Socom Online name, so it just carried over to the Xbox).

I look forward to playing all of you.

BTW, I had an Idea of how to play CvsS2 on your Xbox w/a joystick. My Software etc. sells a converter to use a PS2 Control on the Xbox; well I was thinking about buying one (about $20) and then buying the Shark Joystick from FYE where I work (about $34), just thought I'd let everyone know who doesn't want to use S-controller or the old style.

Just got back from the Mall and I played a really solid 3 or 4 matches. Once against a guy from Detroit (home of Clarence Bodeker).

As much as I like the idea of getting the chance to play another human at some sort of fighter, I just find CVS2 to be, boring...

Perhaps the need to test my gaming skills will overcome my feelings about this game.

Now I just need to get Live to work with my DSL connection.
