I agree with the majority of that list save Chrono Trigger, I simply cannot stand that game...the music during fights drive me crazy. If I had the emu *cough* I wouldn't waste my time with CT again.

I have yet to see a published "100 greatest" list that even comes close to your/our list. It again reminds me of EGM's last 100 Greatest list. A list that included Madden 2002, EA's College Football 2002(its the same F'n game people), Pokemon Puzzle League, etc...and basically didn't mention half the games we did.

Tho the only top-10 game I've voted for is Slug 1, I think the list is quite accurate and gives us an idea of ppl's favourites on ng.com. I just wish there had been more votes. 56 members is only an average turnout, given the number of more or less active posters on here.

Anyway, good work, Sal & Buster!

I think that this is a great poll. Not all my top 10 made it in there, but I still look it over and I can only find about 5 games that I don't like in it. Most of those are great games and although may not be in the best order they all deserve to be up there.

That "taste" in games thing is kinda funny. At least some people agree with me!

Well, after the totals, once again a game I either don't like or play made #1, although I can hardly argue.

Looks like SmaSho 2 will always be near the top in this site and deservedly so.

woot, I knew I had good taste.

I'm number 7 among all the members who voted. I guess my tastes are pretty mainstream...no C64 games in my list!

I liked how the final list turned out, except that the top spots were dominated by RPGs that you play one time and never touch again. I liked the fact that the original Metal Slug is given a lot of respect in this boards, and ranked higher than some of its sequels.

That's true! MOTW came in 4th last time, now it's not even in the top 50?

Personally i love the game, but not enough to make it a top tenner.
