Hey, you know the cartridge port on the saturn? what the hell is that for? is that the memory card slot? is it for 32X carts or something? Help!

Memory Cartridges for game saves, RAM expansion carts for some 2D games, especially CAPCOM and SNK fighters, whatever variety of GameShark was available back then, etc. That cart slot caused rumours that persist to this day about the Saturn playing Genesis carts.

No no no no no.... That port attaches to the Sega CD add on. I know what your saying, "Why two CD drives?" Well I'll tell ya.. If you have 2 copies of the same game it will load it twice as fast! And with the 16bit of the Sega CD combined with the 32bit of the Saturn you have a... uhhh.. yeah 48bit monster of a machine capable of super speed and load times comparable to a cart.

The latest new that you can also use Saturn cart slot with future add-on DC cart. saturn becomes DC~~~ Way to go, Sega. I know you can do something really surprises us.

You are all wrong. The cart slot is to plug in the 32X, so you can have the 64-Bit system that SEGA never made! You can use it to play Virtua Hamster and all those other great titles that were never released to the public!

That slot is where you plug your game doctor in. I also managed to hook up a cd burner thru it so that I could sell burnt copies of all my games to my friends etc.

I think the Nomad was released after the Genesis II. Not sure if it was before or after the SEGA CD II, though.

who says Sega neptune is $199? that's the JPN version which value will go down dramatically (look at KOF 2K). Get limited US version for $800, $1500 for two right now.
Only 100 were made for US version.

Gen 3 is so cheap......$19 only
