I don't know how legit these places are, but maybe 10 years ago when I got into martial arts, I looked in the phone book and saw a couple listings for people that tought shotokan karate. Also my hapkido instuctor (a first degree black belt) referred to shotokan a few times. I beleive it's quite real.

I've taken several forms of martial arts styles over the course of my life, but none I stayed consistent with, meaning I have a litte bit of this and that...

Thus my style is WIN! By any means neccessary, thus I guess that makes me a Street Fighter.

Shotokan is a legitimate form of martial arts, although it looks nothing like Ryu or Ken's fighting styles. Check out Sub-Zero in Mortal Kombat: DA for a more accurate version of Shotokan.

Oh, and I used to take Tae Kwan Do. I still remember the basics and some of the intermediate skills. However I'm too lazy (read: out of shape) to really prove it to anybody.

I studied Judo,Aikido,ShinKendo and Juijitsu from my friends step father. he lived in Japan for 10 years. It was a great time learning. If I had some time I would go back and train with him.

Shotokan is real they just don't throw fireballs.

I took Kempo and Kung Fu for awhile before I started studing martial arts on my own with out much sucess. I'd like to start taking Judo because it's so bad ass.

Really Sub Zero in Mortal Kombat DA is not that accurate. The most accurate Shotokan game I have ever seen is Street Fighter 3 Ryu and Ken puches and Kicks are all perfect.

Took about 6 years of Tae Kwan Do through the end of grade school and into high school , since then I have studied Escrima for about 2 years and done alot of boxing , which I prefer to any martial art { more fun inmo }

These days Iam much more proficient in the ways of Glock and Heckler & Koch though.

I dont know any of it!

But I was thinking about taking something to fill in some free time, I wouldn't mind learning something new, I would want to learn Kendo or something to that extent, I think that would be pretty bitchin

I basically know Street Boxing withouht any any gloves just tape. My dad has been teaching me how to box since I was young. So basically getting into a fight with me could be dangerous. Unless you go for my legs then I'll have to think of something else....

Muay Thai here.

Did a lot of Kempo karate before and some TKD and Judo. Hated all of those so Muay Thai was the one that stick my style.

I also did some pro wrestling (don't laugh it can help ;) ) but not for long.

Back on topic : Ken and Ryu ( from what I remember ) aren't shotokan... I can't recall what they are though... I'll post it if I remember it...

I use to take full contact Okinawa Goju-Ryu when I was in high school. I was also on the wrestling team at the same time. Made it interesting when we would have full contact sparring on Friday right after wrestling practice. One time during a sparring match I blocked this guys kick by grabing his leg and doing a wrestling take down on him. Took everyone by surprise.

Spin, admit it, you're always cheating in a fight because you're beating your helpless opponent with your huge cock! It's just not fair!! You can knock someone out from a mile...

I've been doing Kendo and Iaido for quite a long time now. My grade in Kendo is Nidan and Idan in Iaido. Progression is MUCH SLOWER in Iaido than it is in Kendo.

I hate fighting against other people. I'd rather perform Katas. That's why I'm thinking of quitting Kendo and dedicating myself entirely to Iaido.
