Have you ever bought a game, and it was the wrong game in the cart/cd??

I walked into this shop that sold amongst other things atari jag games.
They had Dragon; the bruce lee story, and they told me that it was infact a shooter and not the game that it appeared to be!!! I mean it awas the Dragon cart but the game is different. I don´t know which game is on this cart, Could be a rare one. In any cade, is this not really odd or is it really common? It isn´t a fake, it´s the real cart and package with another game in the cart.

Does this make it rare? Or just funny?
Has this ever happened to anybody else.

I once bought Eliminate Down (a shooter) for the Mega Drive and ended up getting EX-RANZA (Ranger X) that I already had. Thus I had to send it back to the seller and get the right game. I also bought a really cool Porn flick that actually manages to tell a story (a military suspense thriller) called ROCCO NEVER DIES... anyhow I wanted that flick but the store only had Part II ---Rocco Never Dies: THE END--- so I figured I'll see part one later... get home and open the DVD and BOOM... I have part 1 in part 2's box. Now it's a bitch to actually find part 2 on DVD or VHS anywhere I look. That's my story for two mixes ups.

Never happened to me, but my new Saturn copy of In The Hunt came in last week and I heard it loose in the case. When I opened it, the scratches looking back at me were so horrible, it doesn't load up

Needless to say. I'm upset.

There's a copy of Contra: Legacy of War, at my work. When you boot it up, it's actually Midway's game, "Revolt". It's not a burned disc, its legit. Not even the same publisher...how did this happen?

I've never had that happen when buying games, but once I rented a copy a SSF2 for my SNES back in the day and found that someone had switched out the chip for the SF 2 chip.

I have a copy of Final Fight 3, box and label are for the game but the cart itself is some basketball game. I imagine someone did a little swap of the PCB inside... the label shows NO signs of removal.

Also, with my Strider 2, the Strider 2 disc was actually Strider, and the Strider disc was actually Strider 2.

Hell I have had that to happen to me 3 times in the last 4 month buying DVDs from Best Buy. I even found a mint copy of History of Beavis and Butthead (the one that was banned in the US) and it was shatch all to hell. I don't think the workers when they puting DVDs in the DVD cases at the factory pay any attention to make sure the disc are locked down. I also had it happen once with a US Saturn game but it's a once a month thing with DVDs.

The other day I ordered a burger set from McDonalds. Instead of a medium fries, they gave me a large one. I was, like, happy. Funny how an item that only costs 20 cents more can make someone really really happy...or really really pissed off had it been the other way around.

Tomorrow I'm going to order a hamburger with cheese and see what happens.

I work at a used game store, this has been found 2 times since i've been working there. Once it was a SNES Breakout that was actually MegaMan Soccer, then once it was NES Zelda that was actually that crappy ninja game where you jump increadibly high through the trees.

Not sure, maybe Konami and Midway used the same replicator for the CD and it go mixed up during replication? This WOULD explain any SNES/NES/N64 mix ups, since only Nintendo could replicate those carts (legitimately that is).

The only weird thing that happened to me is that I once bought SOD: Bigger Than the Devil, and it actually had 2 copies of the disc in the case... weird.

I had read that the problem was fixed later.
