I know that game is 2 years old which i have beaten countless times but after booting that game up for my DC yeaterday, i am hooked once again. That game has a nice athmoshere that is pleasant and it leaves me with a good feeling and not to mention those happy tunes.
At the beginning of the game where sonic grinds, its like deja vu all over again.I like playing as sonic more than playing as his dark version.I used to play his dark version more in the past, so maybe after playing as sonic, i am beginning to like the game more and its athmosphere. :D

Anyone else still play this game?
Or have you guys forgotten about it? :D

I own the DC and the GC version of sonic, I haven't really forgot about it, just I can't replay the game on GC and beat it all over again...it still fun with 2 player madness.

Wow, I'm listening to the soundtrack right now. Knuckles is the best in that game man and Meteor Herd is the single most impressive level I've ever seen on a Dreamcast game. I was just talking about that game with Kid Aphex today, and how ridiculously good it is. Its definitely not been forgotten.

EDIT: I actually like the majority of Shadow's stages, they just seem to flow better than Sonic's. That and his shoes are more futuristic looking.

WHAT A GAME!!!! 88+ HOURS TO UNLOCK GREEN HILL ZONE!

It was one of those "up until 5 am" games. You know the score.

I have the gold one on DC, which I refuse to actually use. And I have the GC version, I gave my second DC version to a friend. It isn't nearly as bad as some people say, it's quite a fun game actually. It is very pretty in the case of being a Dreamcast game. But I think the atmosphere and such of the first Sonic Adventure was much better. After seeing some shots of Sonic Adventure DX, I can't wait to dig back into the first one all over again on my Gamecube.

It is good, but i was initially dissapointed. I loved Sonic Adventure 1, with the free-roaming areas. At the time the graphcis were so good, and i could just admier the scenery if i wanted to. Also, i could play any of the charcters i wanted at any time.

SA1 was definately better than 2 but i kind of like part 2 more. What made SA2 not as good as the 1st one were those diamond hunting quests by rouge and knuckles.I admit some of those diamond hunting quest were nice especially the 1st ones but it got boring for the later ones.I still dig part 2 a lot.

Really man? I loved SA2. It's hard to choose...but I'd say SA2 has more of everything. More music, bigger levels, faster gameplay, more goals, more overall gameplay. 88 hours?! C'mon!
SA one was great for atmosphere...but I think the last battle was lacking. Super Sonic VS Perfect Chaos was epic as hell...but a crashing satelite and outerspace war at the end of SA2? Holy cow i was in tears, literally.

YES. I bought this again (had the DC ver.) on Gamecube mostly to do the chao stuff. It's actually a lot of fun if you have other people raising chao at the same time. Fear my SSSSS chao! :D

As much as I love the DC, I just thought this game was terrible. While it did have a nice atmosphere, it really sucked having so little play time as Sonic (God DAMN you, Knuckles!). Then there's the camera...

Well I got the first one and love it. I'll have to check out the second one. I'm new to dreamcast. The VMU is really cool. Its a shame they canned this system after 2 yrs.

blah.
i loved sa2 when i got it.
birthday pack.
cool as fuck. god dam good game.
the whole package was a dream.
the fact that it didnt sell out in japan
tells you that the jp gamers moved on and
could care less though. even for sonics 10th.
honestly when i first got the game i fucking loved it.
defended it tooth and nail.
but shit.
the other day i played SA1. and shit.
that game is so much more than sa2. it was more
upbeat. sure. but shit it was the fucking game.
it opened my fucking eyes to what a console could do.
i couldnt believe that shit when i first saw the
killer whale bit or even the tornado stage.
and that was the first few stages.
the music was amazing.
you had all the characters to choose from.
that you could play or not even if you wanted to.
sa2 has some awsome music. and its visual experience is to be rivaled
definitely. hell the sonic levels alone are amazing i thought.
but when you limited it to 3 playing avenues of
knuckles/sonic/robot hopping then i think it turned
from fun to tedious.
frankly, i m more in anticipation of sa1 remake for the GC.
dont get me wrong. sa2 is the shit. but it to me was a step down from one.
one of the cooler things about the game i thought was
going through it a second time and getting all the secret items.

I really liked Sonic Adventure, i thought it was a lot of fun. I didn't really care to much for the Knuckles levels though, i hated the whole hot/cold item search thing. There was just something about Sonic Adventure 2 that turned me off, i dont know maybe i should give it another try. I just really want to see a new sonic game where you just play as Sonic, or perhaps where you can pick your character like in Mario 2.

SA2 is one of the top 3 games released on the system IMO, it was everything 1 was and more. Hell you could spend weeks just messing with the Chao breeding/mini games.

Find the Jap LE version, comes with a kickass sonic music cd, and the japanese version even has english audio and subtitles for the jap audio (same as US version I think).

Is it the game where we can choose Sonic and Knuckles only?
If yes, I hate it, I cannot even complete level two!
