In the wake of playing rounds of the revitilized *Contra* I sure hope Treasure (some of whom worked on the original Contra games) decides to finally make a sequel to what I still feel is their best game ever... with Guardian Heroes in a close second if not tie. I mean, wasn't Ikaruga part 2 of Radiant Silvergun? That's what I saw on some websites anyhow, so who knows... maybe they'll decide to go against their anti-sequel clause. Besides, doing a sequel to Gunstar Heroes would be alot better than that game where you stretched a fat woman's boobs, and everything in site.

Heck make it for all 3 Next Gen systems with something a little different for each version that way a true die hard would have to buy all three versions <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

Ikaruga wasn't a sequal... that's just people being misinformed. It's kinda impossible to do a sequal with the way RS's storyline worked.

GH was cool. I just wanted a better difficutly level. It was laughably easy.

I made a thread about this when Ikaruga was first released. The general consensus was that the stories had absolutely nothing in common.

Yeah, it actually took place either 200 or 2000 years before the first level of RS.

But Treasure says they hate doing sequels! Yeah, I still think Gunstar Heroes is the best Treasure game ever made, but I'm afraid that's all we'll ever see of it. Sad but true.

If you want a game that plays like Gunstar Heroes, get Gunners Heaven for Japanese PSX.It's really a direct rip off of Gunstar Heroes gameplay.

It's too late for a sequal. I don't know what else they could do with the game. I mean, it's the ultimate game of it's type, after all.

Treasure needs to keep making new ideas and that's all. To besmirch the good name of GH would be disasterous.
