I'm in an internet cafe here in Nagano
. It's a lonely way to spend X-Mas though
. My airplane was delayed one day, so I had one less day to spend in Tokyo... which unfortunately meant that Akihabara had to be cut from the schedule
. But, I did find a nice little game shop here in Nagano that has some cool stuff....
Samurai Spirits Neo Geo Pocket box set, Samurai Spirits for 400 yen!, new copies of World Heroes, World Heroes 2, Super Baseball 2020, etc all for around $25, Real Bout Special brand new (not sure what the price was), and more. Nothing too exciting though. They did have Neo Geo Cup 98 new for 22500 Yen, which seems like an awful lot, but I'm not sure what this game goes for. I saw Metal Slug in Tokyo for 100000 Yen. Not sure what the condition was, but that's a great price (around $900).
And no, I haven't purchased a damn thing
. I just don't want to pay that much for MS since the MVS version is just as good... and nothing else has much interest for me. Since my only bag is a small carry-on the size of a briefcase (I travel very lightly), a Neo Geo game would take up way too much room.
I did get the chance to play KOF2k2 here (the home cart is waiting for me when I get home), and some Soul Calibur II. KOF2k2 is pretty sweet, as I'm sure everyone know. Soul Calibur II is absolutely awesome though. I can't wait for this one to hit the home systems so I can play it all the time!
Well, just though I'd check in with you guys. Merry X-Mas everyone!
