its supposed to be new, but I have serious doubts. Its in nice shape tho. I havent tried it out as I dont have any AES games, just a few mvs with no phantom *doh*

Anyways, I'm back in the Neo Geo crowd after a 7-8 year absence..Woot its great to be back!

I was eyeing MS3 on ebay but the mvs title got snapped up with buy it now for $120, and the Aes home version is a little out of my budget at. Its tempting..Arrggh!

May I also recommend the following games either AES/MVS to get:

Nam 1975
Shock Troopers 2nd Squad
Samurai Shodown 3
Sengoku 2
Sonic Wings 3

These titles are also a good selection to get down the line.

Cost $785 1 controller no game shipped supposed to be brand new. Wasnt quite. Waiting on $125 refund.

Much better deals to be had in lesser condition and with games etc.

But, for my first Neo, I wouldn't buy a brand new one, because your first Neo is supposed the one that you use. Then, you should a buy brand new Neo for collector's value. Then, wait a couple of years, till the value of the New Neo is sky high, then, sell it on Ebay, and buy a bunch of shit.

Ouch! $785 is not such a bad price for it if was "new" but, I too would be more content with getting a nice working system, in excellent condition rather than a "collector's piece". Congrats on your purchase thou! buttrock

I too just got into the Neo this week, after a long many years of wanting one and never finding one in a thrift shop for $20. lol

I picked up buttasuperb's AES and a few games over on another fourm, under another name too wink Also just won HaydenFallek's SuperNova and MVS setup on ebay, waiting on that to arrive now. :cool:

Don't waste any more money on any games, wait till Capcom vs SNK Chaos hits the home system before getting carried away in terms of buying games.

Thanks guys. I'm happy with the purchase. The seller gave me a refund so it brings the total down to $660 shipped from japan. This is my 2nd Neo to replace my original which I also paid around the same for. I might pick up an extra system, if so its just to stock up to make sure I always will have a working Neo to play on. Not interested in selling the newer one for a profit in future. There's better things to invest in than Neo Geo gear if the goal is to make a buck wink Just wanted one that is in nice condition to keep forever wink

Can't wait for SS0, SNKvsCap and mebbe MS5...Just got MS3 and wasn't all that impressed with the gameplay. Probably just gotta give it more time or play with a friend wink

There's really no need to buy another system, if you plan on moding it or doing things to it. The home cart systems hardly ever break unlike the Neo Geo CDs.

Man .... you're a tough customer. MS3 is one my all time favorites! What really won me over are all the little secret pathways that take you to totally different areas - and also the strange things you can do with the slugs (drilling through huge snails and making them explode, etc.). Anyway, happy gaming.

Congrats dude that sounds like a great setup and very good choices of games! Did you also get a phantom1 mvs converter or are you playing home carts exclusively?

Here is the games I currently have (or are being shipped): SS1, SS2, ms1, ms3, magician lord, shock troopers1, puzzle bobble, last blade2.

Games I'd like to add (in no particular order) are: Nam75, kotm1, ms2, msx, ms4, md3, SS4, viewpoint, LB1, motw, SSzero, snkVScap and ms5.

Ya I bought a phantom 1 from kenny boy, I just bought waku waku 7 from robert walace. I trying to get a full mvs kit of sengoku 3, but some guy on e-bay wants $80 for it. There is a MotW on e-bay for $20 right now, but it has a ripped japanese label. I'm preordering svc chaos when it opens up on neogeo.com. ss0 looks cool. I'm saving for matrimelee and ms3

I'm also getting a phantom1 from Kenny this week.

my games are a mixture of homecarts and mvs titles. If they reasonably priced or are known to have issues with the phantom then I opt for homecarts. otherwise I just go the cheap route with mvs as I'm just into it for the games.

I recently saw MS3 mvs on ebay for $120. It looked like a decent deal. I opted for the homecart because it only was $70 bucks more..(truthfully I still probably should have gotten it mvs) Lots of ppl love it, but I found it to be just ok in the fun factor dept. So much so the rest of the slugs might move to the end of the line. Nice huge 2d graphics though..mebbe MS1 will bring me back to the ms fold once I receive it. be careful about bootleg carts. They are floating around. ask every seller whether or not carts are boots. It sucks to do but I think it will save alot of grief. I already bought 1 boot MS1 by mistake. legit replacement is on the way.
