I've got mine on pre-order.

Didn't know it was the "psuedo sequel" to Metal Black. Interesting. Too bad that game kind of sucked... it was from '91 though. I've heard good things about Border Down. Here's to hoping it's a keeper.

I do believe mine's on pre-order still with NCSX. I'll need to double check. It's been a while since I've played a horizontal shooter, been all vertical lately.

and this game looks like a must buy.

eek! You thought the Saturn version sucked... or the Arcade version?... Cause I have the arcade board and I think it is brilliant... and yeah, looking at the screen shots it looks like it plays very similar to metal black. I doubt the newalone floats in the air, but you deffinetly can do the massive beam attack and have the power struggle with the bosses... The effect almost looks the same, just shinier ala Naomi wink Either way, it looks great, I'll be picking up one for sure!

I have the LE version of Border Down on preorder at NCS. Its amazing that a few shooters still make their way to the DC, which is clearly very well built for such games. The LE version has the soundtrack as well, which sounds like it will have some classic 90s-style shooter tunes, from what I've read. :)

I've preordered the LE at NCSX, although to be honest I've never played the Prequel Metal Black. I'm just happy that the Dreamcast is getting another game, but that's just the fanboy in me. :D

What does the LE version have over the normal version, besides an extra $25 on the price tag? I know its got a soundtrack, but if thats all I hardly think its worth $85.

Ill probably go with the normal version.
