I rented it for 5 days and enjoyed it immensely.

I love the techno beat in synch with the rumble feature. An experience, not a game.

Only got to the first boss tho. Didn't have enough time to work on the game.

Play it with headphones. Awesome!

This one will end up in the bargain bin - Johnny Q. mainline gamer just won't get it. But that's ok. I'll wait till it drops to $20 like Stretch panic.

A worthy game!

I wonder how the DC version is? It has to be better on Sega's own system, right?

Well, I have heard that the PS2 version has sharper visuals, but fanatic DC fans will ALWAYS say ANY game is better on the DC. Even if they havn't played both versions. <img src="graemlins/spock.gif" border="0" alt="[Spock]" />

You can never discount the VGA box in an instance like this.

I love this game. I picked up the soundtrack from CDJapan too.

Gotta find the trance vibrator.

Ah yes, Rez - a very creamy game. After finishing the first level the game immediatly went on my "to get/must have list". Either the PS2 or DC version will be fine although I've heard the DC copy goes for over $60...eek.

Well I picked up the PS2 version when it came out, and I havent stopped playing it. When you pump the music through a good sound system, with subwoofers, you really get drawn into the game. While the bass is thumping, and the dual shock is rumbling, you sort of go into a trance like state after playing for a long period of time.
Now recently I scored a new copy of the Japanese DC version, and I did a side by side comparison. The game itself looks the same on both systems. In the area of control, I have to admit that the PS2 controller with its built in vibration feature feels better than the DC with a rumble pack. Now on to the most important aspect of both the games-SOUND. It's strange, but the DC version sounds cleaner than the PS2. I actually was using optical out on my PS2 so you would think that it would sound better coming through my stereo, but thats not the case.
All three ranges(low, mid, high)just sound crisper. The bass coming out of my subs sounds sharper and clean, and mabye it sounds that way since the DC doesn't have any optical out, but I like it.

HOLY SHIT!!! Someone else likes the game! I actually imported the DC version. Of course, I live in an apartment, and couldn't crank the music.

SO... Well I have a great stereo system in my car... Well, now I have a power inverter, GC with monitor, and the dreamcast hooked up to the monitor as well. REZ SOUNDS FUCKING GREAT THROUGH THE SYSTEM!!!

Try it, if any of you can.
