I met Walter Payton back in 1987. He was a close friend of a friend of my uncles. He really was a cool, and down to earth guy too.

the record store that i work at (again) has had tons of in store apearances from artists, mostly rappers, and i used to be roomates with this guy who was a rapper also and we would hang out with these guys regularly. i've met george clinton from parliament-funkadelic, lil kim, mystikal, eightball & mjg (they smelled bad), smoked blunts with redman & method man, the rza, gza, & ol' dirty bastard, oh and i've met thse bone-thugs-n-harmony guys tons of times, they used to buy from me regularly before they got really big (and now they've fallen off) i guess i've met others but none really come to mind. like lee, if you live out of the u.s.a. you might not know who i'm talking about. then again if you live outside of the ghetto you might not know some of these guys either. ;) one thing most every one of these guys had in common (besides smellin like reefer) was that they all made some sort of comment about me being white. what's up with that?

Let's see... before I left for college in 2000, my school would hold a big annual gala. During my time at my school's annual Gala's, I've met:

Richard Avedon ('94)
Dan O' Brien ('96)
Vince Vaughn ('98)
Billy Blanks ('99)

Back in 1990, while at an airport in Orlando, Florida, I met LaToya Jackson, and she signed my cap. Sadly, I ended up losing that cap two years later, but if I had known where LaToya Jackson's career was heading, I'd say losing the cap was a good thing.

My parents got to meet then-President Bill Clinton at a big dinner back in 1997. On Halloween night 1998, my dad got to see Sarah Michelle Gellar at the Four Seasons hotel in D.C. (I was offered to go, but I was sick with the flu. Oh, how I continue to regret that day! DAMN YOU FLU!). Last summer, my friend James Mrazek saw Bruce Campbell while at a reststop somewhere in upstate New York (he was on a road trip; can you imagine the odds?).

As of right now, I know three people who are trying to make it big. My long-time friend Kimberly Beaman is gunning for a singing and acting career (I got her demo CD two months ago; let's just say she needs work [a lot!]). A student at my college by the name of Maya left last year in order to persue her singing and acting career in Nashville, Tennessee. The third person I know, Francis (a female student from my college) is currently a part-time model (which is why she doesn't show up for class sometimes).

I've met:

James Doohan-Mr. Scott on Star Trek
Marina Sirtis-Troi on Star Trek:TNG
George Takai-Mr Sulu on Star Trek
Siddig el Fadil-Dr. Bashier on Star Trek: DS9
Kenichi Sonada-manga artist

As you can guess, I've been to a lot of conventions....

Well, from what I hear he has "joint ownership" of it with the guy that owned it before. It's pretty much his club, and he was just hangin' out one night in the Red Room. Pretty cool. :D

I love the Black Cat, it's one of my favorite clubs. I try to go there as much as possible, and yeah, I agree that it's better than 930.

I'm actually going to 930 tonight, to see The Dismemberment Plan and Death Cab for Cutie, it's gonna be a blast.. I like 930, it's a nice club, there's just nowhere to sit besides the balcony, and the 5 or so tables they have back in that little cubby..

My favorite club in DC though is Nation, it's in such a scary area though, but I saw like the best show ever there, and I get to go back soon!! :D It's a really, really nice club. Much lower profile than 930, just all around better.

Hmm.. i met Henry Winkler "the Fonz" at a lecture he was giving. He's actually a really smart guy.

I also go to a lot of folk concerts so I have the autographs of some people you guys probably don't listen to like:

Jess Klein, Heather Nova, Jonatha Brooke, Edith Frost, and the lead singer of the Cowboy Junkies Margo Timmons.

I remember when i worked at gamestop that actor that was in Proof of Life, not Russell Crowe but the guy who was held hostage, came in...he asked for video editting software and I told him we were primarily a games store...and he walked off. He was also in Dancer in the Dark and Negotiator...although I'm too lazy to look it up.

That's about it I think.

Well, I didnt really meet him, but I once was almost knocked down by Tommy Lee Jones. I was exiting the elevator at my old office and he was trying to get on, almost running me over.

The only other people I have meet are from bands you all probably havent heard of.

So many I can't even remember all of them.

Here are some highlights:

I met Bill Clinton when he was President -I don't think they get any higher up than that. I also met then-former Pres. Bush I (just to be bipartisan).

One of the first famous people I ever ran into (quite literally) was OJ Simpson back in 90. He was leaving the Ritz Carlton (NYC) as I was entering and we ran into each other. He was pleasant about it. I told him not to do anything I wouldn't do (well, no, I didn't say that). The funny thing was I didn't know who he was, my parents told me "it was that guy from Naked Gun!"

I got into an actual shoving match with Ed Bradley and his aides from 60 minutes as the mayor and district attorney of LA looked on, but hey... it was crowded and he wasn't doing what he was supposed to, punk!

Many more, I'm never star struck so I tend to forget.

The only ones that really stick out in my head are Walter Koenig (Mr. Chekov) from the original Star Trek series. I met him when he was here in Alaska.

Patrick McManus (Twice). Unless you have read some of his books, there is no point explaining who he is.

The guy that was the mailman on Cheers, who's name I cannot remember. I met him when I was living in Seattle. I also met Shawn Kemp, Detlef Schrempf, and various other Seattle sports figures while living there.

So many musicians I would have to go to the autograph closet and dig through it to make a total accounting. Yes, I have an entire closet set aside for autographed shirts, etc. of the musicians I have met, it has been that many. :)

Studied in the west end of london 3 years.

Weirdest coincidence, I was in electronic boutique (UK game chain) jonathan Ross was in front of me , buying £130 quids worth of the newly released playstation cds. 2 weeks later I was in Shekhana games , up the road on Tottenham court Road, waiting to buy a neo geo aes cart, and who strolls in, Jonathon Ross!! This time we had a conversation on games, turned out he knew what the neo geo was, but preferred the newly released playstation, also told me he owned a at the time rare Nomad machine!!!!!

I digress but who else remembers Shekhana games, one of the 1st and best games stores in the UK est 1982.They were probably the biggest sellers of neo geo when it came out, I have magazines from 1991-92 where they have taken out massive 2 page spreads to advertise the system.

Also met Lennox Lewis (asshole), Michael Buerk,Robert Powell,Terry Waite, and Ken Livingstone!!!!
