Hot on the heels of the recently released GMK in Japan (Godzilla-Mothra-King Ghidorah), Toho has already begun on the latest G flick, Godzilla X Mechagodzilla. theres a short teaser on that page.. (note-picture of Mechagodzilla in that page is taken from Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla 93, he will probably look a lot different in the new movie)

Kaiju fans rejoice :D

Hey Daigo, are you on the message board over there?
Wow, another MechaGodzilla movie! I liked the original 1974 film, that was bloody fine. "Terror of MechaGodzilla" though was a mixed bag for me.

The '93 version is very, very good; especially the subtitled version.

I've yet to seen the last two new G flicks though. I wonder what Toho will do for their 50th Anniversary in 2004? It's coming up! ;)

Great news. I am going to try and go with some people from G-fan on a Godzilla 50th anniversary celebration tour to Japan in 2004 and see the sights and buy some good G-stuff.
Speaking of the big G. Anyone have any of the newly released official Japanese Gamera box sets with English subtitles? I have the box set of the newer movies but not the older ones as there are two box sets for the older films. Anyway I have seen them on ebay but they are asking alot of dough and all the stores that I know of that carry G-merchandise don't have any.

of the two G-film sthat were released AFTER the heisei era (which ended with Gvs.Destroyah), the second one -GvsMegaguiras- is far superior.
i feel it is one of the best godzilla films ever.
the director of the newly released GODZILLA,MOTHRA,KIN GHIDORAH is shusuke kaneko, who directed all three of the 90's GAMERA movies (which IMO are perhaps the greatest kaiju films of all time).
i am very anxious to see GMK, and also to see the new mechagodzilla, which is going to be directed by the same guy who did MEGAGUIRUS- so i have very high hopes!
it's nice to see there are fellow g-fans on this board as well!
you can find my lifelong godzilla loving ass at the godzilla board ar cinescape as well.

So far the "alternate Dimension" series has been a let down G2000 was pretty poor and megaguirus was much superior but compared to the heisei films of 89-95 it sux (except for space godzilla) i think it was a cool move in GMK - battle on fire to bring baragon back!! but mechagodzilla i don't know!! i know he is really popular and it was a great remake in 94 but i personelly wanna see gigan back and anguirus!!! anyhow its another G film so i can't complain but hell i gotta see GMK first!!!
