I was looking on AtariAge today and saw that Philly Classic announced the date for the next convention.

March 20-21 it will take place. And Suprisinglly it's very cheep to get it. Only 15 bucks for the two days.

I was looking around on the site and it looks really good.

Any of you neo-geo guys going to this? I know I want to check this out if I can get some new 2600 games.

ICON is also the week after this, I was thinking of asking about doing a Neo-Geo Pannel and maybe asking about haveing a sprate neo-geo game room.

Let me know what you think.

I may go..
My friend Ron's new girl friend lives close to where they hold the convention..She attends the Philly Classic.

She said I could stay at her house..and we can all go together.
So with this new option I may go ..

Link to the site please..

I edited the post with the website chris.

Also here is the link for the other convention I mentioned called ICON.

ICON is pretty much an everything convention. They have Sci-Fi, Horror, Role Playing, Videogames and Anime.

It's allways fun to check out and it's usually pretty cheep to go too.

I'm curious - anyone been to this before?

Just watched one of the videos from the promo section and it looks like there's about 20 people (and 2 cosplayers) there. Looks more like a get-together than a convention.

It's relatively close to me. I may show up for kicks if I remember it in 6 months.

Same here...I'll take a look at it as I like the idea of going to a convention and seeing something other than PS2 and Xbox.

My friend Matt went last year and said it was enjoyable enough. He lives next door to me so if you guys have questions I can ask him.

I heard about Philly Classic last year but I didn't get to go. The other convention I mentioned fell the same time as last year's convention. I heard from a friend they had a Warlords Tournament. Now that's cool.

If I was to judge the whole convention by the videos I'd just say it was a bunch of people just filming themselves and nobody else. So only Evil Mike's friend will know how many people were there.

I'm going to make another post about ICON. I want to see how many people would want to do a pannel or bring there stuff for a game room.

Just want to bump this one more time to see if anybody wants to go to this. I'm going to e-mail the people that run the convention and ask them how many people attended last year, because that video really makes it fell like 20 people went.

Hopefully tommrow night they will e-mail me back and I'll let you know what they said.

Let me know if your thinking about going and I'll let you know what there answer is as soon as I get it.
