Which one should i pick up ?

(btw , sorry for posting yet another "What to buy" thread)

I nearly crapped myself when i first saw GGX and then forgot about it some time later due to not having a console to play it on , and now i have the opportunity to play it , so that's great , but ...

I'm a sucker for Virtua Fighter.

Everything i have heard about 3tb is positive , getting perfect 10 scores. Not to mention the much deeper gameplay. You've led me in the right way before , seeing as i'm much more happy with Jet Grind Radio than i ever could have been with Power Stone , So i need your advice yet again.

Although GGX looks just awsome in hi-res(capcom freakin do hi-res already shame ! I would have to go with VF, deeper game play tight controls, the best 2-d fighters are on the neo anyway, so why waist your time on GGX wink .

Take Guilty Gear X. Actually, if you can grab the Japanese GGX: DX plus for PS2, grab that, but The DC version will do fine. Great gameplay (Deep), killer music, and some of the finest 2-D fighting around. The DC version has some serious issues, but if it's all you can get, it's better than nothing! :D

Guilty Gear X, by a landslide.

I didn't care much for VF3tb. VF2 was grand, never played 4.

Get GGX, it's so worth it. I'm not a VF3 fan, but I am a very big VF4:EVO fan. If you want VF, get that one for $20 new on PS2, hell get GGX2 on PS2 off ebay for equally as cheap. They're both much better sequels than the originals on DC.

If you've gotta pick one for DC, I'd say GGX it's awesome.

Well , i can't get any PS2 versions/games as i don't have a PS2 , and i've been looking at some of the VF3tb screenshots and are the character models that lumpy/blocky ?

I looked at the Sumo guy , and it looks like someone slapped together a couple lumps of lard and called it a character model.

The other characters seemed a bit blocky as well.

So right now i'm leaning towards GGX a bit more.

BTW , Don't send me PMs as i can read them , but i can't reply to them. Oh , sorry verbatum , I'm not interested in your VF3tb.

Why don't you get both?

VF3tb can be had at anywhere from $5-$10 used.

Guilty Gear X might set you back a little more,maybe about $20 - $35.

VF3 is the weakest of the VF series, but its still better than GGX. GGX is a solid 2d fighter. Looks nice, sounds nice. Nice packaging. It never bit my dog. But the gameplay, something about the gameplay just doestn't do it for me.

If you can get it grab VF4 Evo for PS2 and forget VF3.

Im very tired from a long day. So if I sound a bit insane its only because I am.

I was a big fan of VF2 as well. I used to play it everyday after school when i first got my Saturn. I haven't played VF4 either (and i have no excuses for not picking evo up at $20!) nor have i played GGX. But what i do know is that i really dont like VF3.

Why bother even thinking of a Virtua Fighter game. Get Guilty Gear X and save yourself the trouble of being bored. If you have played Virtua fighter 4 what makes you think this one will be any different? 3tb reminds me of when they put Street fighter ex3 on the ps2. It was just another version of Street fighter ex2 just with the graphics bumped up, and a tag mode. Virtua fighter 3tb is a bump up from Virtua fighter 2. Same crappy costumes, same styles, No shading or detail in the characters.
That is just my opinion about the game, majority of the time my opinion sucks on this board. Just like me asking why pay 300 for a fucktard game like SVC Chaos?

Ok .. That still doesn't answer my question about "Serious Issues" with the game , and i already ordered GGX so you can quit with the VF3tb bashing.
