Opinions needed on this one, folks...

It has been waited like the new Final Fantasy Tactics, but i read mixed reviews about it...

Someone here actually played it?

I'm considering buying one copy...

NO.

NO.

NO.

DO NOT buy this game. I spent weeks looking for a copy, and I literally shed a few tears when I played it. It is that crappy.

There are items to revive your characters in combat. You don't get any spells to revive until you hit around level 30. But your companion soldiers are all so weak 90% of them die in each battle. There are a few battles where one happens, then it progresses immediatley to another, leaving you without the ability to at least recruit more soldiers.

You end up fighting against 20 soldiers beasts, and wizards with your two main characters. Guess how long that lasts?

How about one type of helmet, armor, bow, ring, and accessory? Depending on the class you choose, you get to equip a different weapon. Thats it.

With somewhere in the neighborhood of 6 classes (all the same, with different weapons) It is nothing compared to FFT.

The best part of this game for me was when FuncoLand gave me 18.00 in credit for it.

I hope this game burns in hell.

Ask Blaine. I was pumped for this game, only to be betrayed.

I'll be giving it another go in a few days (finals are over, baby!)...

From what I played a year ago (or whenever it was released), though, it seemed pretty unbalanced. And from certain reviews I've read, it sounds like the best way to get through the game is simply to forsake your party and let your main character get all the experience... and that makes me even more worried.

If you haven't already picked it up in a few days, I'll post a couple impressions based on replaying it for a while.

Jigen speaks the truth.

For easily 2 weeks straight, everything was directly or indirectly related to him getting Hoshigami.

If I told him I had chinese food, he'd say 'I like chinese food...and Hoshigami'.

If I said my car broke down, he's say 'What type of Hoshigami do you drive?'

If I told him my cat died, he'd say 'He's with Hoshigami now.'

And when he played it, the dude was inconsolable.

I played it. Didn't care for it.

At least you have the right attitude about it...it'll look good a shelf. Because that's where it belongs.
