Ok i bought street fighter 2 champion edition HU Ccard.

Wich version of the nec systems do i buy to play it?

The reason i ask this is cause there is so many different models of this system I dont know what is the one i need, and what each system does.

Can someone list the different versions of this system and what they do.

I also heard thingsl like CARD V1.0 and V2.0 and V3.0 or osmethign to upgrade it.

Thanks to anyone that can help me , im buying this system for christmas.

Thanks a lot.

Well to play a HU card such as the immortal SF2CE, you need any variant of the Japanese PC Engine; Duo, Supergrafx, etc.

You're best bet is to buy a Japanese Duo with the Arcade Card. That way, you can play any Japanese game, except for the Supergrafx ones (of which, there are a few gems). You cn oslo play CD games from any territory.

Versions are better expained by this site:

SFII CE is just a HuCard game and will play on any Japanese PC Engine, TurboDuo or Supergrafx system...basically any system with a card slot.

It will also play on a US TurboGrafx 16 provided you have the appropriate adapter.

The System 1, 2 and 3.x cards are only necessary for the CD ROM games.

bingo.....
The Kisado Converter is for the US systems... very nice converter...

With the Duo.... the only card you will need is the Arcade card Duo to play the Arcade card games. Up to CD-ROM2 will play fine on the Duo.

the system card 3 is for the regular CD add on and will play everything the DUO plays.

vorhees is versed pretty well in the Neo... you could ask him....

BUT according to reliability, get the Japanese equivalent of the US Turbo Grafx 16 with CD add-on and system 3.0 card. Supposively the Duo's have more problems... and it is safer to go with the later mentioned.

If you are interested, I have both a Arcade Card Duo (Japanese Duo System), and a system 3.0 card (for the Japanese system......).

My suggestion is to buy a US TurboDuo and find a convertor for the card slot. This way you get CD and Hucard gaming at minimal cost in a nice, self-contained console. If all you're planning on playing is imports, go with a Japanese model (the only caveat is that you can't play US cards on a JPN slot unless you opt for a mod...no UStoJpn convertors exist).

CD games, to the best of my knowledge, will play on any system regardless of region unlike the Hucard games. In other words a US CD will play on a Jpn system with no mods needed and vice versa.

yeah, that works too lol.... but then you can't get that NICE turbo grafx hardshell that holds eveerything together :)

That is the other benefit of piecing together. You can get the bundle(hardshell case, tg16, cd system, docking port, system 2.0 card, 1-2 controllers, and all hook-ups) for $110.00 + shipping with some games. The problem is finding that blasted 3.0 card.

Either way will be good... I like the duo and the combo.... they both work the same... I just have heard about the problems with the duo....
thats all.

There are territory mods for Duo's? Didn't know that...

Do you have any links?
