Yeah, Im pretty sure it is.
I got the PS2 and the Xbox versions on review-code, and the X-box version is exactly the same as the DC version (dont have a ps2 to check that ver').
I even had them running side by side to check.
The only difference is the X-Box version has a slight difference in the way 'MARVEL' is written on the main screen, and a couple of text differences in the options screen. Oh, and it loads very slightly quicker, so it gradually gains on the DC version.
I'd be a little wary of the PS2 version in case Capcom have done a shoddy pal port (If you're in the UK) Remember Capcom Vs SNK? <img src="graemlins/ohno.gif" border="0" alt="[Oh No]" />

- forget about the the other versions if you already own the game on dc

- if you DON'T OWN it on DC and "you are interested in the game" buy the PS2 version

- the direct answer is : yes ...... they are the same ( except that you can control it easier with PS2 controller )

I don't own the dc version. I played it at my friend's house a long time ago, we played the game for hours...

It reminds me of the arcade version. Some sounds have been changed, and lighting effect I think. But the secret factor, and other modes are there like in the Dream Cast version.

If'n your thinking of buying it?

The X-box version is really nice!
And it sits really well with the S-pad.

I have the DC version and the one I will buy is the X-Box version simply for X-Box Live compatability.

The JPN XBOX version is out in japan. From what i heard, the PS2 version and the JPN XBOX versions are similar.BTW, the PS2 version too has that "Marvel" difference. Both of them are a little different than the DC version. The sound effects are changed and they sound softer.Aside from that that they curbed some of the slowdown problems found in the DC version when you do the 3-man tag team super.I can't comment on the sprites but they are not as pixelated as the CvS2 sprites.
The graphics from what i heard are sharper than the DC version as far as long as you are using it on normal TVs(wega etc.).The DC version on VGA of course looks awesome. The PS2 version also has a gallery mode.Aside from that, not much has changed.

The PAL PS2 version is shody and pixelated compared to Dreamer version.

Not seen Xbox version, but online play of this class title sounds ace.
