Finally... After 13 Years, I BEAT GOLDEN AXE!!!!!

I remember playing this game back in the arcades in '89, then on my Mega Drive / Genesis, then on MAME, then on PCE DUO, and finally, after 27 attempts last night on an actual MD cart, I played... bleed... wept... and decimated Golden Axe part I. I can't say the ending was all that for bells & whistles but this had been too hard for me all these years with the cheese factor involved. Now I must beat Part II. Golden Axe is one of the few series I always play but never actually beat.

I'm happy for the next 24 hours...

Wow. I never really thought that Golden Axe 1 was that hard, but congratulations either way.

Golden Axe II is actually pretty easy too, so you should be able to work your way through that one pretty quickly.

well if your playing it on normal with standard health bar and credits then yeah it is very hard.

the best tip to beat it is using any of the 3 charcters lure your enemy to the very bottom of the screen and do a running jump, then press down and slash to stick yout sword into the opponents' head.
