I recently picked up Daruis Gaiden and Daruis 2 for the Sega Saturn.I havn't played it enough yet for a worthy opinion but what's your view on them.Oh shout out to Skam for selling me them, top seller :D

But i don't hear much about them, the music is excellent.

What's you're opinion on those games?

Thanks

very badass series, really the underdog of shooters I thought, never got it's true respect so to speak. I hate it when people who never seen shooters or play them that much, think it's a Gradius/R-Type spin off. When really it's quite unique in it's own right place.

Have you tried Darius R for GBA? Heard it was beautifully done and does justice for the series buttrock

Darius Gaiden for the saturn = music heaven. Operatic vocals screaming through a paranoid computers idea for music is perfect to me.

Other than that they're all boring games, except for GDarius on the PSX----which is fucking great. Which I'm also looking for, so if any of you happen to have a Jap copy...let me know.

That's what i thought, the music is excellent but the gameplay is quite boring. Not a Gradius/R-Type class of a game. But it's different to them and still holds its own i think.

I hope to pick up Daruis R for the GBA,i only ever saw one copy in HMV once. But i'm quite dry for GBA games anyway so i'll pick it up when i find it again :)

EDIT:Do yourself a favor and put it in your CD player!

My opinion of the Darius series is this: Awesome. (Not my opinion, but rather the Darius series)

Darius Gaiden and G-Darius are 2 of the best 32-bit era shooters. True classics. And G-Darius is generally pretty unknown compared to Gaiden.

Zuntata makes the best music in the game industry. If Tommy Tallarico stood in the same room with the Zuntata team, he would melt away like the Nazis at the and of 'Raiders of the Lost Ark'.

Darius, or as I like to call it, "the fish tank of doom", rules. Gaiden is my favorite. Definitely doesn't get its due at far as shooters go.

Possibly my second favourite shmup series after the Raiden and Raiden Fighters games.

I've got a fishy feeling, and I like it.

The darius games are amazing. I think the presentation and music are absolutely amazing. I really like the fish theme, and how big the bosses are. Ive played most of the series and I like G Darius the best. Beautiful stages, music and good gameplay.

Darius Gaiden is godly.. its my fave shooting series, prolly because i buy games for the music.

Avoid GBA Darius R, i really think it stinks.

I need Darius II on Saturn like i need a shave.

I digs me a good shooter, but I can't stand Darius Twin for the SNES. So much so, that I'm selling one right now.

The Gaiden stuff, though... now that's sweet candy.
