Well since my first thread on it isn't getting fixed can you say REWRITE.
A friend of mine hooked me up with a "demo" of it. I to basically wrote it off as a, "Wrestling and Hip-Hop? Yeah that combo works." attitude but since it was from EA Big I gave it a chance, which was a very good thing.
This game is more like what would happen if the boyz from UFC got into a fight with some dudes from a Fight Club but was on a local rappers turf. Being that it was a demo I got to chose from two characters, one was a clown in need of anger management and the other was just your typical big swole dude that lives on damn near every block of every city. The opening match trash talk scene did get a chuckle out of me, and the details on the facial expressions was cool.
Like the pic above and on NBA Street there's a lil stuff going on in the background (i.e. fans cheering, dancing, or just standing there), they put in a lil detail on the crowd to make em look human but don't expect any super-duper detail to set crowd person 1 from crowd person 2. The ingame music is around NBA Street and SSX Tricky level but nothing really to groove out to, hope it's changed by the time it comes out.
The control is easy to pick up and get into and the moves are easy to pull off and look tight when done. Wasn't any weapons in the demo so not sure if there will be any in the actual game(it'd be kinda nice) but the moves alone look painful. The boss of the demo was Ghostface Killa
(of Wu-Tang Clan fame and newly signed to Def Jam), unlike the regular grappler Ghostface was actually beating my ass for a good part of the match and damn near laid me out with what I assume is his "Uber" Move which again looked both painful and cool as hell.
Well with good ps2 games a dime a dozen these days(imo) I look forward to getting this one when it comes out.
