I have quite a few questions aboutPurchasing an Arcade Cabinet. I at first wanted to buy a phantom Converter for my AES but now Im thinking about buying a cool looking cab with a 1 or 2 slot thingy.

I wanna know..

Can I play other boards besides SNK ones? like CPS2, CPS3 and Naomi boards?

How expensive is a Cab anyway? I mean for starters I dont want anything super fancy. anything that has an 8 button layout for 2 people would be cool..

Where can I buy an arcade cab for an OK price?

thanks in advance^^

Depends where u get your cab.....if ones being thrown away, then free...or if u want something nice, your talking £200 +

U can use any JAMMA compatible pcb's, but some also require their own motherboard like the MVS carts need the MVS.

Such as the sega ST-V, u need carts, and for Taito F3.But older games just hook up to the JAMMA harness.

My first cab cost me $700 USD. It was a one slot neo-geo and it had only a 19 inch screen, but it came with Metal 1,2,3, Shocktroopers 2, Superdodgeball, and Puzzle Bobble. I thought it was worth it. I the wanted to upgrade to 25 inch screen and I came to relised that I was better off buying another cab with a 25 inch screen. I bought a NFL Blitz 2000 for $625 USD. The problem was that the screen was med. res screen and not standard resolution (which almost all arcade games are, including neo-geo). I traded the Blitz for a 25 inch Capcom style (ie: six buttons) cab with X-Men vs Street Fighter. The guy i bought the neo geo cab latter on that year gave me an old SLY-SPY cab for free. Then he wanted to buy my neo-geo back off of me. I did not wanted to sell it bur I was willing to trade for another 25 inch cab and I get to keep my Four slot I just purchased. I gave him 10 bad to okay neo geo games and the cab w/ 19 inch screen for a 25 inch cab (again Capcom style) cab w/ Street Fighter Vs Marvel Super Heroes, Marvel vs Capcom and a free 19 inch monitor for my empty cab. I took me less than 2 hours to convert the cab to a big bad ass neo-geo. The dedicated four slot can only play neogeo game since the cab is only set up for stereo and the Capcom cab is set up for CPS II only (mostly for convenience), but my third cab I play all my jamma boards. as long
