I mean seriously, just how f'n difficult this game is? I'll tell you... hard as a brick wall!
But it is possible to beat the game. You just got to play it over and over. It's a matter of memorizing and remembering where to move and where to shoot. You gotta possess nimble reflexes or else you're done.
Of course, I used the 8 continue code, I won't lie about that.

I once thought it was impossible (long time ago I couldn't get pass the Level 6 boss; there are 7 stages total) but all you gotta do is repeated constant play. And when you lose a ship, try your best to not get flustered. Sometimes all it takes is one crack in your shell and you've lost that small window of opportunity. Last piece of tip, try to make it to the final boss with at least 3 continues if at all possible.
If you're at least a decent shooter player and practice everyday playing Layer Section for 2-3 hours, you should be able to beat it within ten days. It's just a matter of whether or not you can make the time and have the patience.
You'll curse a lot along the way as well.
