FedEx 2-day shipping: Inclusive or exclusive?

Does FedEx count the day the thing was shipped as "day 1" of the 2-day delivery? I'm thinking they do, as the tracking has already commenced.

If you ship 2 day Fedex on Monday the package will arrive on Wednesday. I find that they are often early though.

My 2 day Fedex packages from NCS used to always make it next day.
