I've had mine for about a year or so. I've loved it ever since I bought it because of all the import games I could get. I thik a lot of people are finding out how great the system can be when yo get the right imports. Very awesome system. Rivals the Neo Geo I'd say.

Well when you talk about imports, all consoles get an extra bust actually. It's not just the saturn. But I agree, it has been getting popular and it is a great console. The exact same thing with the Neo-Geo too.

There are a few new Saturn systems on Ebay. Examples:

And recently completed auctions:

Looks like the systems are selling for around $70 each, give or take. Not bad for a system this old, brand new. Major seller is vgamer2000, he must be sitting on a load of new Saturn systems.

Saturns are very well made systems. Although I have quite a few new backup systems, it seems like my main unit is holding up pretty well and won't need replacing anytime soon. Most of mine are pre-switch modded for territory, since a huge amount of great Saturn games are only available in import form. For the Saturn, all the great shooters are imports anyway . . . :)

I just got Vampire Savior and X-Men vs. SF in the mail today. Yeah I know, it's been sometime before I plunkered down. But I was content with NW and MSHvSF...

Of course, what do you think, Saturn + Capcom 2D fighter + 4 meg ram cart =

Saturn is the shit, always has been the shit. I scorned it when it first arrived, but Vampire Hunter came out, kicked down my fucking door and made me a believer ever since. For my money, it's still the finest 2D beast ever. And the biggest unheralded import lineup EVER.

I have had my saturn since a couple of months after launch and it is still one of my favorite systems. My only regret is stil not finding Burning Ranger (U.S.) for a decent price. It funny how I can spend $200 on a Neo Geo game but dont want to pay over $50 for a Saturn game.

I've enjoyed the Saturn for years. I would think any Neo Geo fan would love it for the 2d import lineup. Probably the greatest shooter lineup that we'll ever see.

Agreed, the 2D shooters on the Saturn (most from the early to mid 90s) are outstanding. Also, virtually every vertical shooter offers a "Tate" or arcade mode, where the game runs horizontally, thus maintaining the original aspect ratio of the original vertical arcade monitor. You can either turn your TV on its side (not practical for most of us, unfortunately), or turn your head 90 degrees to the right and try to play it that way.

Either way, the vertical modes in many Saturn shooters really capture the look of the original arcade game. If you own a Saturn and any of these shooters, you really should try it out . . . :)

So glad to see so many people love the Saturn. I love it too. Everyone should own at least 2 systems.

Some guy at Gamestop had to make a nasty Saturn comment a couple weeks ago while I was buying Splinter Cell.

I forget the context now but it related to no good games or something like that. Grrr.

Why did they leave so many great games in Japan? You can hardly blame Joe Gamestop for not keeping up with releases in other countries.

I would have let it go but the manager and I are friends and he spoke up b/c he knew it was a favorite of mine.

Im a Saturn man since 96.

I got all the rarest PAL games (Panzer Saga, Shuinning force 3, Burning Rangers) new when they came out.

Now people pay rediculous prices for these as they are fools and thought the saturn was crap.hahahaaa!!

Got 52 games, all PAL originals.....Panzer Sga is worth £300 alone.
