It's like all those studies that say kids who play violent video games have a propensity towards violence, when it's equally logical to say violent kids like violent games. Because there are people who play violent games that aren't violent themselves.
For any game, if you biggest selling point is something OTHER than good gameplay, it's not something I like to see. Because then you're not selling a game, you're selling some unnecessary content.
If BMXXX was a really good game with all the extra nudity and what not, that'd be fine (it'd be similar to a more adult version of Duke Nukem 3D. At it's heart, DN3D ruled. Everything else was icing).
If a game has amazing graphics, amazing sound, online play and a massively complex and expensive controler boxed in, that's cool. All of that should augment a good, fun game. It shouldn't take the place of good game play.
So a lot of times, it's backlash. If "people", meaning the executives and the news sources who have access to the information, only talk about bikinis and strippers...gamers have NO choice but to assume that the gameplay isn't worth talking about.
I didn't play BMX XXX yet. My sister said something about getting it for me for X-mas, so I hold judgement. But I haven't heard ANYONE talk about how good it is or how much fun it is. Only 'hey tits'.
Ditto for DOA Volley Ball. I'll reserve judgement until I play it, but if it's not better than Beach Spikers...than what is it?
I'm the biggest fan tits ever had. I have all thier books. But I'm a fucking game player. I care about the game.
Whether it's fair or not to assume a game is hollow because you hear nothing about it is debatable, but I know many people other than myself feel the same way.
It's like the old 'avoid the answer' trick.
Rev Quixo sets me up on a date with the girl who lives next door.
Q: "What's she look like?"
A: "She's got a great personality".
So, it's assumed looks aren't her high point.
Q: "How fun is the game?"
A: "It has bouncey tits."</strong><hr></blockquote>
