Heh, actually the GC does resemble the DC a little bit.
-Both of them have a small and "cute" look.
-4 controller ports(obvious)
-Smooth graphics(heh, crazy taxi)
-GC could do whatever the Naomi 1/2 could and more(Beach spikers)
-Sonic ADV. 2
-Both consoles are developed by real game developers as opposed to microsoft and sony's consoles.
-Many 1st party games(same as the DC in its prime)
-Unique Disc formats.( DC-GD rom, GC-mini DVD)
-PSO(1st major online RPG for both consoles)

There are some more i could list.Heh, it sounds ridiculous but i feel that the GC and the DC have a few things in common.

lol... they're just custom cases not 'spray jobs' as someone here said.

Custom DC cases have been available in Japan for ages, although i've never seen anything as cool as that Segaeno!
