What should be my replacement for a dying Honda CRX?

A. Toyota AE86 (Initial D)
B. Nissan 240SX w/ possible Silvia S13 conversion

Just give me an A or B and maybe a brief explination.

Bah, get a AWG11 MR2, supercharged with the same engine as the AE86 instead. ^^

I am in the same situation myself after selling my old 240sx coupe  . I found an AE86 for 900. Anyway what are you trying to do with the car? The AE86 has old ass suspension and would need work before you begain to do anything else. Also the car could have been run down. A lot of stuff might be going out and you need to replace it.

Neither.

Both are overpriced, overhyped, and ancient.

Buy a 91 camaro :D

Just do get C. 1988 RX-7 Turbo.

I've wanted that car since I was 10 and I'm sick of fanboys fucking it up.

I'd go for b...the AE86 is only good if you want to drift for cheap (and I mean AFTER you buy new parts for it)...

The 86 might have been good back in the day but now, its nothing more than a cheap rustbucket made popular by Initial D. It is extremely hard to find one thats in ok condition, after the amount of abuse that past "racers" have put on it. Its a 1.8L DOHC engine producing roughly 120hp stock. Your better off driving it in Initial D:AS or GT3. The 240 SX is better but if you want to get it, make sure you get the original engine for it, the engine that comes with it is weak compared to the one they used in Japan.

As one member said, get a 2nd generation RX-7 NA, don't get a turbo though since they can be a bit rough on the rotary engine. Personally I would get a Lancer Evo, RX-8 or even a 2nd gen. RX-7

P.S. If you do decide to get an 86, then I could give you a couple of sites to buy parts for it.

Go for the AE86. The silvia conversion will be too costly, and unless you know what you are doing will take waaay too long.

You can build a nice and clean AE86 alot cheaper than the conversion...

this has to be a loft sided question. finding a an 86 corolla is rare these days. there is this one AE86 corolla not far from my house that is owned by an old lady and that is her only method of transportation, what are the chances you'll see that on an autotrader ad?

so get the 240sx.

but for me IMO, they both are horrid cars old cars, go for the RX-7 FC. rotary ownz.

He asked for the AE86 or 240sx not FC or anything else. Were you guys even a fan of these cars before Initial D?
