I’m just bored and I thought this would be an easy way to see who the technophiles in the audience are. My furiously assembled list looks something like this:

1) Sasha - Xpander
2) Underworld - Born Slippy NUXX
3) Paul van Dyk - Avenue
4) New Order - Confusion (Pump Panel Remix)
5) Blank & Jones - It’s Alright
6) Brooklyn Bounce - Club Bizarre (DJ Scot Project Remix)
7) Fischerspooner - Emerge (Adult Remix)
8) Zombie Nation - Kernkraft 400 (tie between Live Remix & Dave Clark Remix)
9) Underworld - Cowgirl
10) CJ Stone - Infinity

My apologies if this list is spiritually linked to the Wip3out soundtrack or hopelessly mainstream (thought I think most anthems are). Oh well...

I can't order music lists, as my tastes are in CONSTANT rotation. So in no particular order:

BT- Never Gonna Come Back Down
Chemical Brothers- Loops of Fury
Crystal Method- Keep Hope Alive
The KLF- Last Train to Trancentral
Underworld- Juanita/Kiteless (Everything, Everything Version)
Underworld- Cowgirl
Junkie XL ft. Sasha- Breezer
Sasha- Xpander
Paul van Dyk vs. BT- Forbidden Fruit (Fruit of Love Remix)
Hybrid- Finished Symphony

There are other songs perhaps better than some of these, but these are my favorite songs that are "anthemic" in quality and/or style.

Dear God, what kind of crack was I on when I posted this?

First of all, the following need added by mandate of law:

Underworld - Born Slippy (CJ Stone Remix)
[Next to Sasha - Xpander, this is the greatest anthem evah! The reason? Only the genius of CJ Stone could take a song that already was an undeniable anthem and fashion it into a work of sonic brilliance unsurpassed even by its predecessor. This is still the only record that I would kill a man in cold blood <segue> to own...]

Voodoo & Serano - Blood Is Pumpin’ (Future Breeze Remix)
[Another all too rare case of a remix eclipsing an already-flawless track, Future Breeze (thankfully) diverged from the pretensions and sappy female vocals that plague most of their work to craft something altogether new and almost violently epic. Truly astonishing...]

Rank 1 - Sensation: The Anthem 2003
[I’ve often said (mostly to deaf ears) that electronic music shares more in common with the mathematical precision of classical melodies than the random, clamoring chaos of jazz/rock/rap that has dominated our cultural ear for more than a century. It’s at this point people usually scoff and fire off some weak retort that mentions the name <a href="http://www.djsammy.com" target="_blank">DJ Sammy</a> (who, in fairness, should be shot...). However, Rank 1's grounding in classical discipline has made their sound something undeniably nostalgic and simultaneously brilliant. Forget retro, forget “old school”, forget the school entirely... think Beethoven. Now you’re ready for this track...]

I guess that factors out to a few more than 10...

Oh, fuck it, this is my topic anyway!

Just post whatever tracks you love... buttrock

Hmm, Blood is Pumpin' is too clubby/dance for me. It borders a bit on irritating since it basically uses the same synth sound as Confusion (PPR mix) AND Up to the Wildstyle by DJ Supereme vs Porn Kings. Ten straight minutes of that sound is FAR more than is requisite to appreciate it.

Other classic tracks:

Underworld- Two Months Off (Roughly sounds like this song was baked inside the sun and kept under a warm blanket for a few days whilst toasting on a stovetop. Warm warm warm warm, fuzzy, warm song. Ever since I heard this spun live by Sasha, it has NEARLY become my favorite Underworld song of all time. Sasha later went on to spin Xpander simultaneously with Cowgirl, fucking unreal.)

Future Sound of London- We Have Explosive (Welcome to the fucking junkyard of the future.)

DJ Shadow- Midnight in a Perfect World

BT- The Road to Lostwithiel (Best BT song you've never heard)

Boom Boom Satellites- On the Painted Desert (Vocal Mix) (This is the song played during the credits of Ridge Racer V, and is another one of those rare cases where a remix overshadows the original song)

Orbital- Halcyon On+On

Has anybody else heard the new born slippy remix?

Born Slippy (Rick's New 2003 Mix

It is the first song on this weeks Essential Selection on radio 1.

I like it would sound great mix with In a State by unkle. What do you think of the newest remix of this classic anthem?

My list,

Sasha expander
underworld born slippy
underworld pearls girl
chemical brothers loops of fury
FSOL landmass
BT never going to come back down
Bedrock For What You Dream Of
Lee Cabrera Shake It
Benny Benassi Satisfaction
Danny Tenaglia Music Is The Answer

I start my radio training later on today. Should be on the radio by the end of the month buttrock
