if you are a retrogamer you must remember

the 'turrican' series

turrican 1, great
turrican 2, greatEST
turrican 3, hmm, robotic stretchy arm?

the c64 port was the best, I mean the amiga looked the best but the c64 version of T2 just rocked my world.

One of the best Franchises ever. :)

Mega Turrican for the Mega Drive have Graphics better than the Amiga Version, but the Amiga version completly destroys the Mega Drive Soundtrack.

WOOOHOO!! That 'Paula' Soundchip was awesome!

Long live Turrican series! :D

I loved both of them on the SuperFamicom/SNES and Mega Turrican. We need a 128 bit Turrican!

Turrican 2 on the Amiga was the pinnacle of gaming for me. Hmm... now where is my Turrican mp3 files?! Argh... *goes hunting*

Okay, shall we petition Factor5 to make a GC version? :p

I just remembered you could turn into a little spikey wheel, and on the 2nd one you could go spastic and flip out like a full screen smart bomb

Oh another little piece of info.

If you go to the Factor5 website, you can download some of their Amiga games for free.

<a href="http://www.factor5.com/download.shtml" target="_blank">http://www.factor5.com/download.shtml</a>

Included free is Katakis, RType, BCKid and Turrican - Original Soundtrack.

There is also Turrican 1, 2 and 3 but these are for backup purposes (ie: if your original Amiga Disks died.)

Found this too:

AAAAAARGH!!!

Too bad it's been shelved due to a disagreement over quality. :(

However it does seem that "Thornado" a game that's being developped by Factor 5 is going to be a Turrican sequel "in spirit" (since THQ holds the rights to the name) and is slated for the GC "when it's done". (I think it was supposed to be an N64 game originally. :p )

Where do I sign up as a Mercenary of the Turrican Army... I like to come and go as I please but am dedicated for the terms of my contract. :D

Also where would I find a copy of Mega Turrican for my Mega Drive? Are they rare/hard to find now or what? I remember this game and loved it so back in the day.
