PROOF!!!! 'Link' from Zelda, playable in Soul Calibur 2 on GC!

As the title says.
Unconfimred, but a reliable source told me that the GC version of Soul Calibur 2 has Link as a playable character, who is unlockable if you have a Zelda-Wind Waker save on your memory card.

If this is old news that I somehow missed then my apologies for wasting everyones time.

Dreamcast update first look.

Namco representatives have been whispering that the hotly anticipated Soul Calibur 2 for GameCube is almost complete and ready for inspection by the world at large.

Although the game will hit PlayStation 2 and Xbox, these versions, according to insiders, will be ports of the GameCube version. Furthermore, Soul Calibur 2 will share some information with Legend of Zelda for GameCube. Indeed, Link is already confirmed as a playable character.

A press conference is expected sometime next week. Stay tuned for updates.

it may still be true...

I've heard the rumor but I would think that it's only a rumor and not any truth to it. Though it would be cool, I can't see this happening. But I could be wrong.

Yeah, people were talking about this a while ago... I hope it's true, but it's still just a rumor. It is feasable though, I mean with Nintendo going in with Namco with that Triforce thing, it wouldn't be completely unbelievable if they put something cool like that in SC2.

And the game will be a port from the PS2 based arcade hardware to all consoles.The game was originally developed with that hardware in mind, not the GC even though Namco did hyped the GC version first that shocked everyone in the first place, thinking that its a GC exclusive.

The game will be released either late january or early febuary at most.

All I have to say is they better make Link look cool if he is in the game No happy cartoony Link, but a badass Link.

Where is the proof you speak of?

NCS has it on their release list for March 28, 2002 for Japanese PS2. No other release dates for other consoles import or domestic at the moment. I'll be importing this bad boy for sure.
