an Arab site of all things.

If these aren't Photoshopped this is kickass

Also in the trialer making rounds on demo discs there's s scene with Lan Di Saying to Shenhua

"I Will take your power for the Chiyu"

that is not in shenmue 2 so I had a feeling Shenmue 3 was ready

Thank-God. I just hope they have the politeness to include the option to listen to it in the Japanese Language. Can't stand the american voice actors.

I was just about to explain this, but you saved me the trouble!

Amazing what people will believe. These pics have been around for almost 2 years, if not longer.

Go to www.shenmuedojo.com and you can read a recent interview with Yu Suzuki who is contemplating taking Shenmue III in a different direction and making it a CG-movie! Whether or not this actually happens is not known, but I hope to god he comes to his senses and makes a proper version exclusively for the XBOX.

Yeah it's true, Those scenes were originally planned for Shenmue II but were cut.
Shenmue III does not have a confirmed platform yet. Also, Yu Suzuki himself confirmed Shenmue III will be the last one. Shenmue will be a trilogy.

Also....

Taken fron Shenmuedojo.com

"The premiere issue of GMR (the new game mag co-published by Electronics Boutique and Ziff Davis Media) has done a short interview with Yu Suzuki. This is what was asked about Shenmue:

GMR: With Shenmue II completed, can you tell us about Shenmue III? We know you had to compress multiple chapters into Shenmue II because of cost constraints. Will you have to further condense the series?

Suzuki: The series will continue, but I think we will go with a different approach for Shenmue III. I'd like to make the next chapter into a movie.

GMR: A CG movie, kind of like the one on the free DVD that comes with Shenmue II?

Suzuki: Yes.

GMR: Is it true that Shenmue originally began life as a Virtua Fighter RPG?

Suzuki: That's something of an urban myth. When we were first planning the game, Akira (from Virtua Figher) was scheduled to be the main character, and the working title was Akira's Quest. As development progressed, we felt it would be better to start with a brand-new character."

-------------------------

Having just finished Shenmue II again about 15 minutes ago (no joke) I'm can't wait till the 3rd installment.

...And before you jump to conclusions about the whole of Shenmue III being a movie, Suzuki clearly says 'The next chapter may be a movie' Remember, Shenmue II is 3 chapters total: Hong Kong, Kowloon and Guilin.

I'm very sorry for all the people who bought the XBOX for playing Shenmue 3, but Shenmue 3 will be NOT be released as a videogame. It will be an 3D Animation Movie like Final Fantasy, Monsters Inc., Shrek and so.

Confirmed

Did you like one better than the other? I've played the DC version a little but since I sold my system, I'm about to start the XBOX version tonight. Just curious.

Well personally, i like them equally -

The dreamcast version looks sharper but this is due to the fact the xbox version is anti-analised like crazy giving it a smoother look. Night - Time lighting effects however look a lot better on the xbox version, the light now 'bounces' of the characters very convincingly.

The Xbox version allows you to take photographs at any time buy hitting the (black) button. This is a really cool feature and ou can take some awesome pics of you kicking ass. Also, their are secrets that can be unlocked with the camera option. In the 'snap shots' from the main menu, press 'X' until you come across a 'secret' page. If you take a photograph of everyone featured ont he secret pages, you will unlock cool stuff like the official Shenmue comic books and concept art.

The xbox one also has a camera filter which all have different effects, from grayscale to full colour to motion blur. Pretty cool.

As you know the DC one has the original jap voices, whilst the xbox one has English Dubs. Personally i had no problem with either, they were both done very well in my opinion.

You can't go wrong with either version but if your looking for replay value the xbox version has the edge. The photograph secrets will take a lot of time to unlock, and it's convenient to just pop the disc in and have all the options avaliable on 1 disc, like the shenmue collection to replay some of the arcade games/fights and the like.

:D

Yeah I noticed that as well... I would really love to get my hands on Shenmue 3, I played 2 on the DC and thought it was great. Anyway... I hope it is a game,
