I'm drooling profusely and waiting with baited breath for this one. Did anyone break down and pick up the import? Any early impressions?

I got the import. Beautiful graphics and gameplay. I haven't been able to really do anything online with it yet, but its a great game without the online capabilities alone. Not as much storyline as the previous PS's but i'm lovin it

From what I've heard is that it's harder to play PSO without online coz enemies are too strong. Second, game play is quite repetitive. My friend in CA bought import version and this is what he told me. Correct me if I'm wrong.

It does get a lil bit like gauntlet legends so to speak where you run around killing things. It's alot more hack and slash than you'd expect from a Phantasy Star game. The visuals are some of the best you'll see tho. What's great for me right now is that i can play around with lots of characters to see which ones fit my style of play better , so when the US version comes out i can whoop ass. Some of the spells are pretty sweet. I get my ass kicked alot when i try to play a a magic user , so i don't have much progress there.

Once the US version hits, we should all form a party of our own! I think I will use a newhuman ranger as my character. The prospect of using a gun as a weapon + using spells sounds like it gives you a lot of flexibility..
