Nintendo Gamecube Vs. Panasonic Q

I have $400 worth of store credit from a videogame store. I can not decide which to buy, can you help?

Option#1: Nintendo Gamecube Silver System(new) with a 251 memory card(new) and 8 games. 2 of the 8 games are new. Price: $400 Shipped

Option#2: Modified Panasonic Q Price: $400 Shipped

My question to you folks is, is the Q really worth it? Or should I settle for option#1?

If you HAVE to play DVDs, go for the Q. Or if you prefer the way it looks, also go for the Q.

If you already have a region free DVD player (I think the MOD to the Q includes making it Region Free, but I'm not 100% certain), then just get the regular GCN.

The Mod will make it Free for ANYTHING except PAL games. It even does read backups ( Although I haven't got anyone! ).

It's the most fantastic MP3 player I saw ( Just after Winamp lol!! ), you can benefit from the large audio outputs variety to plug it to a decent receiver or Sub-Woofer Kit.

The DVD player outperforms the other 2 consoles and you don't need to plug an infra-red device on your Joypad ports like the others. It cames already with one infra-red and superb DVD controller.

Definitelly the most beatifull console of this new era. :D

If the games includes Metroid, AC, RE Zero I would go with option 1, if not, just go with the Q instead.

I'm getting a Silver cube this spring I'd ge the modded cube with the games. I hear the Q is a pain in the ass to use

Let me tell you now, it is not. The Q is just as good, if not easier to use. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what he/she's talking about. ;)

I would go for the Q...it's a GC and a DVD player...plus it's modded so you can play JPN/US games/DVDs :D

Q is good - very good. Easy to use too. I have mine set to default to japanese dialogue if exists (anime). Menus are in english.
