I still don't understand the ending.....
It bothers me for years because I can't figure it out.

Alright, after you defeat the last boss, then it starts showing ending sequence. So what happens to Maria? I thought she was killed in the begining......

So her soul was dragging into hell or what?

what a fucking bad-ass game this was/is.

i remeber plunking in tons of money in the arcade (at that age, 5 bucks is a LOT of money)- fuck- 5 bucks ain't cheap now come to think of it!

man, i love double dragon!

I thought PCEngine SCD "Double Dragon II" is slightly different from arcade version.....?

oh.... it was.....

i don't own a PC engine or ever have-

i thought the game was the arcade version of DD2.
my bad if i was mistaken...

This "Maria" is a video game character from DD2 and she is not real. Sorry for the 411, but you need to get out more.

It's somewhat different. Like the Famicom version there are some extra stages that the arcade doesn't have. The arcade levels are in there still.

According to the arcade game, Maria is truly gone. <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0"> The ending there is just a photograph of her and the heroes.
