Yep, quackshot was fun. I think genesis owned the SNES overall.

I actually bought the TazMania, Streets of Rage 2, Jungle Strike and Ecco the Dolphin Carts.
Oh, forgot to say: and I don't own a genesis system... YET

Yeah I had bought new when it first came out back in the day but then I had gotten out of video games. But I'm back and got me another copy off ebay last year. Just last week I got me some Streets of Rage 3 off ebay. still waiting for Splatterhouse 3 to get here.

Man, the Disney genesis games were really great, weren't they? Castle of Illusion (or was it world?), Quack Shot, and all the others I canot remember.

Wasn't there a Jap only satun compilation called "I love Mickey and Donald" that had all those games?

I remember seeing Castle of Illusion (the first Disney/Sega Genesis game) in the mags and seeing those (at the time) unbelievable graphics. I bought it the day it came out. Setting the future trend for Sega/Disney games, the controls rocked. the only thing I then wanted was a Donald Duck game. Then I saw Quackshot in the mags...

Sega Ages "I love Mickey and Donald" only had Castle of Illusion and Quackshot, no World of Illusion

I know this is a little off topic but:

Ecco owns! The games are both challenging an fun. I currently own both Ecco games for Genisis.

Like Bobak, my first encounter with a Disney platformer was Castle of Illusion, which was fun and quite challenging on hard difficulty.

Encouraged by COI I also bought World of Illusion, and of course Quackshot, and I spent a lot of time with this cool game. It's so funny to shoot the plugs around and jump around on them, and the gfx, music and fx are great.

In terms of cartoons, Disney was never my favourite company, I still am a Warner Bros. fan (Road Runner, Elmer Fudd, of course Duffy Duck, etc.), and I just love the old Tom & Jerry toons from 1950-67. I can't help myself, WB and MGM cartoons are so funny, I still LMAO when I see them. Too bad most T&J games aren't really good...

This game was fantastic! I have always found that the disney's games were better on MD than on SNES.

I sold my genisis to my sister
We use to love taking turns at playing those games, one life each until we had completed game, luckily when world of illusion came out it was a two player, i may visit my sister soon, not to see her but to play the genesis
I mean the game play of those disney games were spot on, graphics were great, you just had to love the water in quackshot and how it made you move sooooooo slow. it had greaty bosses and i loved the way you had to go back and forth to get keys, i use to cheat a little and keep going back through the electric line ride to nab a extra life it was fun and challenging

As for castle of illusion, that was the second game i got after sonic the hedgehog, eeven though it came out first and that was the toughest of all the disney ones, especially trying to land on that pendulam, the amount of times i would fall of was unbelievable.awwwww great days

Yeah. And the first underwater stage in COI is so cool, with that eerie music and smoth sinus line scrolling... reminds me of said Ecco, graphic wise. It's fun to jump from one pond to another, tho I completed it once, but strangely never after that, I just do a lil' jumping from time to time.

Aladdin is also worth mentioning, with lots of nicely animated enemies, and some pretty tuff spots. That sucker kept me glued to my Genesis for quite some time.
