I was looking around at my local Software Etc. and I noticed this game and decided to pick it up. Man, this game kicks ass. Although they stole a lot of ideas from Diablo, its still fun and has a lot of replay value. Anyone else ever play this game? I know its fairly new, but not sure what the release date was.

Yup Yup. There are mixed reviews about the game. Most people were expecting it to be like the computer game, but it is nothing like it. If they would of combined the two games into one (Balders Gate II and Dark Alliance) we would have a very kickass game. Its still a good game though. If you like Diablo, then I'm pretty sure you'll like it.

Take the Good stuff from each game and make a sequel

Baldurs Gate II-

-Fully customize your characters, more classes, more spells, better storyline, VERY LONG!!!

Dark Alliance-

-More action packed (hack and slash), superior graphics, multiplayer (Should of been 3 players, but o well)

Of course there is the bad stuff too...

Baldur's Gate II-

-Too much going on that it gets confusing.

-Too many characters to control.

-You have to rest after every battle:rollseyes:

-Multiplayer isn't really that great.

-Very slow game.

Dark Alliance-

-TOO SHORT!!!

-You should be able to customize your character (Cmon, what were you thinking?)

-Dungeons should be random so you can build up your character.

-More spells would of been nice.

LOL, yea the water affects are cool (Not as good as Waverace for the Gamecube IMO)

Do you like the game NeoDragon?

I barely play computer games at all, except Baldur's Gate & (now) Diablo series. Yep, from what I saw, basically, the setting is Baldur's Gate, and game pay more resembles Diablo. When I get PS 2, this will be one of the few games that I intend to purchase outright--after FF X, of course.

For those who haven't got Diablo, consider the Diablo: Battle Chest (it contains all the series of Diablo, plus strategy guide for Diablo 2 & expansion). You can shop around, and get them for $34.99-39.99 at you local store. Forget Wal-mart. They are selling it for $59.99--they are out of touch. Some old geezer must be in charge of the videogame dept...

Yup me too, I have a level 52 Sorceress that kicks ass. Hell is a little hard with all the immunities and all, but the game has the most replay value in existence. I wish they would of made Dark Alliance with random dungeons, I hate how you just walk through, but o well
