For our American chums, David Beckham is like our equivalent of your MVP (I was gonna say Neon Dion Sanders - but I don't know if he's still as good as he was) - i.e. a bloody expensive, but nevertheless very talented football player.

And if he's very good in England, then he's damn near Jesus in the USA. I like the states, but we don't have that many great football/soccer players here. I still think Donovan for SJ is a badass, however!

Ah... I had an idea he was someone like that. I love soccer, don't get to watch down here much though.

When I was staying in New York, you could get the Premiership highlights on Fox Sports, and live games on pay per view.
It was great! I even got to watch live Champions League footie at the pub - while having my lunch! (time difference).
