What is your take on internet offerings that has you wondering, "is this too good to be true?"

Have you ever said to hell and went for it? Did it pay off? And to make things more interesting, I'm talking about an ordinary person, not a business, and an offering outside of eBay or some other feedback function.

I'm curious to know.

Yes, two times. Once with my Neo Geo MVS cab 2slots and 2 games. (180$) (not official cab)

And my Neo Geo CD with 22 games ($90) and he brought it to me, he told me that he wanted to make some1 happy, he never played on it. So he thought why not sell it for very cheap. Was probably one of the best deals ever...

And at the moment there is a guy selling an AES system with:

SS3 complete
FF comlete
AOF complete
World Heroes lose
Fatal Fury 2 lose

for $320 But I don't got money, and I stick with the MVS.

But guess what, I got:

Supergrafx (brand new)
1941 (brand new)
Ghouls and Ghosts (prestine mint)
Aldynes (brand new)
Ganzart (brand new)

for a very very very very very very cheap price

my son NSX-T, maybe I'm not as lucky as those people who got great deals, but I got most games I want at first release or in brand new condition

I got a good deal on a US version of Dragonball GT Final Bout. Complete in perfect condition for $25 from some kid I met on a message board. Very nice.

Another good deal was Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete. Brand new from a store for $19.99!!! Everything was in mint condition, and by the way this was well after they stopped producing copies of the game.

None of my deals are as impressive as the ones you guys mentioned, but here are my best deals (hey, nobody said it had to be only video games):

King of Fighters 98 (Neo-Geo AES cart; used, in excellent condition, still has everything)- $81.00
801 TTS Airbats (all three tapes, still sealed)- $11.00
Ruin Explorers (DVD, viewed only once)- $12.00
King of Fighters DM 1999 (Dreamcast; played only once)- $10.00
King of Fighters 98 (Neo-Geo CD; new, still sealed)- $8.50
King of Fighters 97, Samurai Spirits II, and Samurai Spirits III (all Neo-Geo CD; all new, still sealed)- total of $20.00
Two Bakuretsu Hunter (Sorcerer Hunters) anime cels- $50.00
Sakura Wars (DVD; new, still sealed) and Battle Angel (DVD; new, still sealed)- FREE! (I had two coupons for $60 worth of free goods lying around someplace)
Fifty different SNK and Capcom manga books (that includes various titles, like Samurai Spirits, King of Fighters, Street Fighter Alpha, etc.) and twelve Final Fantasy VII doujinshi- $300.00

The only thing I really did well on was Battle Heat for the PC-FX. I think I brought that one down for like $15. Great condition too.

I once got a Neo Geo Aes without a box, had a debug bios, two oldstyle sticks,and about 17 games,all boxed and U'S' versions, can't remember every one, but some of them were;
Metal Slug , Neo Turf Masters, Samurai Shodown 3 and 4, Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer , Fatal Fury 3, Real bout Fatal Fury, and more, for 450.00, I later sold em all because I was collecting MVS ,and Japanese AES at the time, oh well.

Best deal I ever got was from a friend of a friend who was selling a mint AES system boxed with a complete mint copy of SSII for $50. I also bought a sealed copy of KOF 97 PSX for $12.00 from him.
