Sega CDX Question...

I'm thinking of getting a Sega CDX, but I want to know if it is compatible with the 32x. I don't think it is, but I want to make sure.

If it is not compatible out of the box, will it work with some kind of modification?

Well, When I bought mine (off eBay) it was packaged with a 32x. Since I had no 32X games I didn't test it out. I've heard wind that it may not work -but nothing definite.

Regardless of that fact, I've nothing but kudos for the Sega CDX it's a great space saver (and it looks neat!).

I tried with the Pal-versions:
The Multi-Mega and the 32X worked perfectly together!

It does work with the US 32x. It wont work with an X-Eye from what I hear.

Word. I just got one yesterday, and it's a really cool unit. I wondered if I made a mistake by getting a CDX instead of a Model 1 Genesis/Sega CD like I had when I was a kid, but once I opened the box and hooked it up, I knew I made the right choice.

I tested my setup as well. As far as i know the only US setup that isn't compatible would by the G3's. they are crap all around. Nothing beats the model 1 + CD tho.

Yeah. You ain't cool unless you own a model 1 Sega Genny/Cd combo. Not cool at all.

I refuse to play Shinobi or Streets of Rage any other way.

x'eye works with 32x, ask sonic1787...he has one :-p

does anyone know if the mastersystem convertor works with cdx?

I was thinking about getting a Genesis 1/CD Combo, but decided against it.

It would just take up too much space. Also, I love the design of the CDX, and love how portagble it is so I could take it with me anywhere with ease.

The only genny units that don't work with the 32x, no matter who their made by, is because the 32x simply won't fit in the cart slot, i think.

No,no,no...damm...

..i was talking about the master system-converter!
This one won't fit(should have quoted,sorry!)

The 32X DOES work with the CDX!!!
